Guide to Fix Audio Issue in Castle Crashers

Castle Crashers uses whatever audio device is set as the default in Windows. It sounds like your current output device might not be set as the default.

Here’s how to check on Windows 10:

Open the Control Panel from the Start Menu.

Go to Hardware and Sound > Sound.

Look for the device with the green check mark — that’s the default.

If the device you want to use doesn’t have the green check, right-click it and choose "Set as Default."

If you are trying to use a Bluetooth audio device, make sure it is properly connected and set as your main audio device before launching the game.
You can do this by pairing your Bluetooth device with Windows, then going into the Sound settings and setting it as the default output (following the steps above).

If this doesn’t solve the problem, it’s possible one of your peripherals (like a webcam) is causing a conflict.

To rule that out:

Completely close Steam (find the Steam icon in the system tray, right-click it, and select "Exit").

Disconnect any webcams you have plugged in.

Restart Steam.

Launch Castle Crashers again.
