How to Obtain the Mackinaw "Demiurge" Monster Truck

Do you want a super sick monster truck to run over those pesky gang goons with??? Here's how to get one. There are a bunch of confusing guides and threads on how to get it, but I'm here to tell you to not waste your time with those. No need to travel to some random abandoned church or play a silly arcade game, you only actually need to do 1 thing.





Yes, this works in patch 2.3! I did it in both a pre-existing save and a completely brand new save and it worked both times. This is also available on console :)

I am going to try to give very precise instructions, as I am unsure if it works doing something even slightly different.

First, drive out to this location in the Badlands at around 4-6 AM, south-ish from the fixer Dakota. I did not fast travel at all, I marked the location and drove all the way there. I time skipped before getting to the mattress, to approximately 4:45AM. I tried starting at exactly 6:01AM and it did not work.





There is a lone mattress at this exact spot on the map. Locate it here and stand on it. I still get lost trying to find it, but I promise it's there!







In order to not potentially mess anything up, I did not touch my mouse or keyboard at all, did not tab out, did absolutely nothing, and just stood there on the mattress for about 7 in real life minutes. (This time may vary, and could depend on what time you arrive at the mattress, I'm not sure. 7 minutes is exactly how long it took for me after testing multiple times on many different saves)

After that amount of time, V should start coughing and then collapse. If you're standing there for any longer, you may have done something wrong and will need to start over. Just walk a few feet away and time skip to sometime after 4AM and try again.

Shortly after collapsing, you will hear the vehicle beep noise that plays when you summon one of your cars, and see someone kneeling down to check on you.



When you wake up, the person is gone and some time has passed. Turn around and you will see some tripods, a laptop, and of course the truck, which is now all yours. Yes, this truck is yours to keep forever and can be summoned like any other vehicle you purchase or obtain.

In the center of the tripods will be what looks to be the clothes the person was wearing, as if they vanished into thin air... weird but anyway thanks for the truck stranger!!! :D





On the laptop you can read some emails as well as personal logs evidently kept by the stranger which will indicate that the stranger tried waking up V, including slapping us in the face :[ ouch

There's clearly something strange occurring here and some lore to discover but I'm just gonna yoink the truck and forget about it :]

It isn't the fastest car, but is pretty beefy, and can clear barriers and other cars like they're nothing. So get out there and crush your enemies!

It's also customizable, though there are no unique color schemes.
