Resident Evil 5 | QHD / 60FPS+ Upscaled Pre-Rendered Cutscenes
Overview
These upscales still work for the new patch that has been released.
Using Topaz VEAI and Flowframe, I have managed to upscale the pre-rendered cutscenes of Resident Evil 5, whilst providing higher FPS option. The game limits the FPS to 120FPS. Using video converter, I have managed to convert the MP4 upscaled cutscenes to the original video codec which is WMV3/VC-1. The game only contain four total Pre-Rendered videos, two of which is the logo screen and two are intro opening credits cutscenes.
The game shares a lot of similarities to Resident Evil 6 in terms of playback of pre-rendered cutscenes. This is why they share the same video qualities capabilities.
All of the instructions are provided within the RAR archives. Use WinRar to open them up, so you can see the instructions provided on them. I have packaged the upscales to work with Fluffy's Mod Manager for easier installation.
Known Issue [60FPS & 120FPS]
When using 60FPS or 120FPS Pre-Rendered Cutscenes, the text and subtitles skips/shows and plays quickly, as if they were played twice as fast. The speed of the video is unaffected and only occurs at the opening credits. My assumption is that the subtitles and text were made with 30FPS in mind, causing them to play twice as fast when the videos playing at higher FPS.
So to workaround this issue, disable the subtitles OR, replace the op_a & op_B.wmv with any other resolution but in 30FPS.
ETA: Not fixable. Subtitles are embedded within the executable of the game.

Recommended Game Patch
* Does not support v1.2.0 [latest update of RE5], but their patch significantly improves the game and feels like an authentic drastic patch that the game was overdue for, which CAPCOM failed to deliver. I highly recommend anyone who is not getting any sort of usage/benefits from v1.2.0 patch, to use this! This will downgrade the game to the previous version.
