SPOILER FREE TIPS!

(side note; i apologise in advance for any grammatical errors)

1. Don't be broke!

GET EDDIES ASAP!! most missions you dont need to do straight away, but you need eddies to pay up for. The best method is NCPD and jobs. Through this you can earn money, loot, which you sell at dropboxes. You also earn XP, perks, attribute points, and skills, so you can do missions much easier- and even be able to buy cyberware (and new outfits, houses, vehicles) quicker.
if you have no eddies, you cannot get anything, as this game is based of realitic mission hussles, buying from vendors, going to ripperdocs (cyberware doctor) and more. Have at least 3-10k minimum.

2. What to do if you make combat with a skulled gang member or character.

Skulls are not BOSSES but are the bosses in the gang groups or have stronger then usual abilities or cyberware. -Boss fights will come up with a bar at the top of the screen. cyberpsychos (someone who is going insane and is trying to kill everything in sight due to over use or too much technology and implants) also have the health bar on the top of your screen. so dont be scared to fight the guys with skulls above them!

3. Difficulty, what to pick.

If your playing for the first time, i suggest doing normal mode. hard is literally 'hard' it has lots of challenge. normal is still a challenge, but is 'normal' and easy is literally 'easy'. theres not much challenge. But if your an over achiever, give hard a go. easy is reeeeaaaalllly easy. only play easy if you tried normal and could not handle it.

4. Lifepath.

V's life paths look hard to choose from, so ill simplify it. Lifestyles is your character backround and daily life in night city. it changes dialouge options, prolouges and relationships. other things it changes is housing, and routine. pick corpo for being ruthless and a luxury mess- a top snob that falls to the bottom. streetkid for a streetsmart lowerclass gang memeber or gang killer, and knows all there is about illegal activity. and Nomad for living in the badlands outside of night city, values of freedom integrity- surviving from scavaging and trading. nomads are experts of everything that is beyond the city.

5. Utiliese and Xp

Utilise V's apartment/living space's buff. like resting, showers food ect. You earn XP, faster health regen.
Xp and skills helps unlock your character getting stronger.

6. Best atrributes

Focus on body, Intelligence and technical ablity atrributes. these help with unlocking new paths, dialouge and even cyberware.

7. Get cyberware early.

With the eddies and skills you gain through these tips, getting better and more cyberware is the play. i recommend mantis arms. (theres a few versions but typically electrofing is the first one you can get) and gorilla arms. these dont just help give you a powerfull meelee and comat skill, it also is a weapon that doesnt need to equipt. it saves room and your always armed with them.

8. Gigs and side jobs.

These help get better gear, vehicles, street credit, opening up new vendors and opening up new opportunities. Side jobs also involve killing gangs- so you can loot everything, sell it, and get even more eurodollars aka eddies

9. Mange you backpack/inventory wisely

Due to the game being realitic you can almost carry any amount of items but evetually it will debuff you speed and you can do longer walk faster or run. this will disavantage you a lot, so my advice is to stop but drop points to sell things you dont want, and store everything away at V's place to make more room and get rid of the weight. it adds up fast especially after looting heaps of items!!

10. DETAILS!!! very important!

Suck in alllll the detail. explore and absorb lore and scan everything. Explore night city, you can get more missions, quests and vehicles by doing so. And scanning helps with everything through exploring, combat, sneaking and taking control on cars. it helps to find enviromental interactions, data and enemies including cameras and enemy vehicles. With your scanner in use, you can also take advantage of you ram which is increased through cyberware and attributes. Using your ram- allows you to quickhack an enemy, taking control of a vehicle or exploding it, distractions to silently take out enemies or drive them away, get away from cops, turn cameras off or explode them too and more, even making an enemie commit suicide or become a cyberpsycho. Quick hacks can be changed to whatever abilities you want as long as you have the ram, eddies and space. [/i]
