[1.1.5.1] Freeza's Tanky Frostmage [Spellbreaker]
Introduction
Tanky Frostmage able to do Story on Ultimate and Crucible on Gladiator. Though a party for Crucible is adviced. This is a build for people who want to freeze the whole screen (except nemesis and unstoppable heroes), facetank bosses or multiple pre-expansion nemesis and look at pleasing 360° spell effects. No guaranty for hardcore viability.
This build combines survivability with lots of trigger damage, cooldown and cast speed. It pairs well with parties focused on fire and physical damage.
Gameplay involves spamming skills, procing stuff and spamming Chillspikes of Seal of Night in between. If you like face to face conversations with mob hordes while drinking some area of effect damage, then this build is for you. The build is hard to master, you will have to move at some point, find the sweetspot between face tanking/timing survivals and sometimes moving (you will die to e.g. Fissure).
---
NOTE Patch [1.1.2.2]: Build got impacted by Iskandra Set overhaul, thus lost a lot of tankyness. It will never be as good as before..

Pro/Cons
- tanky - shields, dodge, damage mitigation
- lots of crowd control
- good party buffs/debuffs
- good damage
- double emergency button (Mirror of Ereoctes and Blade Barrier)
- no energy problems (Harp Devotion)
- RIP GPUs
- Cold/Frost resistent mobs (Yetis, Undead, Human Mages) take a long time to kill (we do have some pierce damage and Nullification for it)
- heavy button usage or skill spamming involved (good training for 10 finger typing)
- hard to master - might take a while to get used to, you have to time your survival skills - otherwise you're dead

Use e.g. Olexra as a substitution until you find a good Chillstrife Olexra's Chill[www.grimtools.com]. Where the hell do I get this? The weapon drops at:
- Larria, the Hexxer[www.grimtools.com]
- Janaxia, the Betrayer[www.grimtools.com]
[...] using a Wradlith's Bulwark. It's a rare Cold variant of the Bulwark shield dropped occasionally by certain ghost-type warriors so it's quite a lot easy to farm (in comparison to Legendary equipment) and it has higher stats then the Mythical Gravetouch (well, the level 96 version does), and buff exactly the 3 skills you need buff:
+ 3 to Olexra's Flash Freeze skill
+ LOTS of direct +Cold damages to Olexra's Flash Freeze
+ -15% Cold Resist to Olexra's Flash Freeze (so, basically, +15% Cold Damages)
+ 3 to Night's Chill
+ LOTS of direct +Cold damages to VoS (it gets added Night's Chill)
+ -10% Cold Resist to VoS (so, basically, +10% Cold Damages to Night's Chill)
+ SOME of direct + Cold damages to IEE.
+ 80% Cold Damages to IEE.
+ 80% Frostburn Damage to IEE.
That's without considering how the shield also always gives +Cold Damages % from its random stats. Add a Coldstone to that shield and it's one hell of a +Cold Damage buffer for Olexra's Flash Freeze, VoS and IEE.
And, also you need to max IEE because it's affecting both Night's Chill and Olexra's Flash Freeze.
With the right random stats on the Wradlith's Bulwark, you can get +5 Night's Chill and +3 Olexra's Flash Freeze in total direct +Skill, so saving 5 additional skills points from the Mythical Gravetouch.
- Crab to an aura - permanent chance
- Turtle Shell to an aura - permanent chance
- Harp to an aura - permanent chance
- Leviathan to Olexra - no other option
- Blizzard to Blade Spirit - 3 spirits cause this to trigger as often as possible
- Elemental Storm to Trozan - is on primary targets, shoots over obstacles, freezes in place, hits fast -> for initial damage increase
- Dryad to Chillspikes - hits often, on primary target, an option is linking it to Olexra, however that doesn't always proc on some freeze immune mobs (some heroes, Nemesis, Bosses).

Nemesis and Crucible
- Father Kymon, Avatar of Korvaak[www.grimtools.com] - Grasshopper likes to hop around and becomes dangerous due to defensive ability debuffs (approximately -500 DA).
- Archmage Aleksander[www.grimtools.com] - doable without death, beware green Meteor it is close to a one shot (high physical and aether damage, we do have good aether shields and res)
- Grava'Thul, the Voiddrinker[www.grimtools.com] - You die if you miss your timings while facetanking. I don't suggest kiting, not really needed and he won't stand in triggered aoe effects -> high damage loss.
- Kubacabra, the Endless Menace[www.grimtools.com] - facetankble for a time yes, killable like that ... sadly not due to his life leech. You need to kite to finish him, fast hit and run ...
- Father Kymon, Avatar of Korvaak[www.grimtools.com] - should be your primary target due to DA debuffs and jumping ...
- Zantarin, the immortal[www.grimtools.com] - actually the least dangerous for the build, always kill other enemies first
- Gannar'vakkar, King of the Sands[www.grimtools.com] - Scorpion with a huge range and damage, should be a primary target.
- Ravager[www.grimtools.com] - No no no.
- Lokarr[www.grimtools.com] - Doable, use the side areas to avoid his returning fire waves.
- Callagadra, Scion of the Sands[www.grimtools.com] - literally death from above, run ... srsly RUN don't even try it... NOPE
- Avatar of Mogdrogen[www.grimtools.com] - don't remember sry.
Shar'Zul, Harbringer of Chaos[www.grimtools.com]
Leveling
1 point into night blade aura and pneumatic burst, rushing Olexra Flash Freeze max points should be your main focus to obliterate normal mobs on the screen. I would skill Blade Spirit when you get Blizzard devotion skill unlocked.
After that you should focus on cooldown reductions from arcanist, pneumatic burst (high boosts to both survivability and damage) and put some points into Maiven's Sphere. You should unlock Mirror of Ereoctes in between when you need it.

Build History
This build originated as a melee frost/cold based melee assassin. At some point I came to love Olexra's Flash freeze and changed it to a full caster. I can't play default attack/melee based characters in this game .....
