Introduction

Listen up gamers!
Have you ever played The Mercenaries gamemode as Jill BSAA and though "that's a nice 😂ss pistol! The heads of enemies just come off like BAM! Would be dope to use it in main story campaign!"
or
"This pistol has tons of penetration and cool looking appearance and beefy gunshot sound. Too bad it's Barry's exclusive weapon..." while playing as Barry STARS?
or
"Wesker, you charming, evil bastard. That's a classy, strong modded beretta right there. But you are canonically dead, so why I cannot use this in story mode as Chris? Both of us know that Chris would've yoinked your Samurai Edge after defeating you, just for safekeeping as a trophy of glory." while playing as Wesker STARS?

Well guess what, consider yourself very lucky!
Because today I will teach you how you can get access to Wesker's Samurai Edge, Barry's Samurai Edge and Jill's PX4 pistols in main campaign!

The tools!

To acquire these weapons you'll need to install Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition ultimate trainer!

However, it's not as simple as downloading just one executable and dropping it somewhere. To make this trainer work you will need to install additional compatibility related patches to go with it, otherwise the trainer outright won't work.

You will need to install all of these:
https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevil5goldedition/mods/2
http://www.drive.google.com/file/d/1NE0xMuVzLSRif7fRCrw85rsfiV8njMti/view
http://www.drive.google.com/file/d/16iF4RXWridsNVqpZKHOLYWi_Y6ck5TS0/view
http://www.drive.google.com/file/d/1NTw96zw6pF-tWZmxW4bMSX10C3j-3EOX/view
http://www.drive.google.com/file/d/1FShJXRnDvpaLd2JnjZYR9w1zI167hkfO/view
http://www.drive.google.com/file/d/1Bgk3x5tQwq44_bZh1X9MYAWUB-YERUa7/view (this one is for dual-wielding feature, which is completely optional and you can skip it, if you don't intend to use dual-wielding)

Now, I can hear someone in the background murmuring something along the lines of "oh 😂uck off mate. I'm not going to create new accounts or go through hyperlinks galore just to gain access to one trainer for a videogame. The hell with this, im outta here." --- Nooo! Please sit down and don't go anywhere! Let me finish, mind you.

Well guess what? I gotcha fam, because you can go for this convenient "no fuss no muss pack" that I put together.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/299qxv2tpvr72li/no%20fuss%20no%20muss%20pack%20for%20Resident%20Evil%205%20trainer.rar?dl=0
"No fuss no muss pack" contains all the files from these six archives, put together into one. Hence why it's called "no fuss no muss", because you just dump everything into your game's main directory and that's that. The trainer will be ready to work right off the bat.

Extract all the contents of this archive into your game's main directory, where re5dx9.exe executable is located. For example, in my case it is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 5

Overwrite all the folders and files that need to be overwritten. No fuss no muss pack also contains an archive that allows you to use dual wielded SMGs as Jill, but since it's a gimmicky novelty feature (AKA for fun) it is not preinstalled with all the other necessary files. If you intend to use the dual wield feature on Jill's outfits - go ahead and install it. If you don't intend to use it - skip it, the trainer is going to work perfectly fine without it.

Make sure to launch RE5GEUltimateTrainer.exe AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Creators of this trainer are raz0r and dante. Go and give the dudes some thumbs ups (endorsements) in nexus mods entry (1st link).

Now, since that is out of the way, we can jump right into the real deal! Acquiring all three pistols in main campaign!

Let's get them!

I'll try to make this as in-depth and foolproof as possible.

Launch the trainer as administrator, then launch the game. For the sake of this tutorial, we are going to play as Chris on chapter 1-2 (but you can pick any chapter).

MAKE SURE that you offload everything from Chris's slots, so that Chris's inventory is empty:
https://i.imgur.com/wMJgzSa.png
No difference as far as Sheva's inventory is concerned, just give her 100 pistol bullets, because you will need them for reloading empty guns. Minimize the game for now.

Now, let's start with the trainer! Select inventory:
https://i.imgur.com/nsmQC70.png
make sure that options "story" and "player 1" are selected:
https://i.imgur.com/lkIpKmJ.png
Player 1 is Chris. Player 2 is Sheva.

Now, we are going to edit slots number 1, number 2 and number 3 of player 1 (Chris).
First we select an item called "Samurai Edge (HG)" for first slot. Make sure to change all the statistical numbers of this item, so that it's only zeroes:
https://i.imgur.com/EWSxAFw.png
Once that is done, you have to select "SLOT 1" in a section "freeze item slots".

Now do the same thing with the other weapons.
Barry's samurai edge for SLOT 2: https://i.imgur.com/ssIvyhl.png
Change all the numbers into zeroes. Freeze item slot 2.

Jill's PX4 for SLOT 3: https://i.imgur.com/kxgKFOB.png
Change all the numbers into zeroes. Freeze item slot 3.

And that's it! This is how player 1 inventory is supposed to look like once you're done editing:
https://i.imgur.com/75ivqWG.png
Three items for player 1. Samurai Edge HG, Barry's samurai edge and PX4 HG, for slots 1, 2 and 3.

Now, if you minimized the game during item management menu, then just press "ready" and start playing! If you already started the game before doing the editing, make sure to restart from last checkpoint.
Now, as you can see, you are going to begin this chapter with three empty weapons in your inventory, like so:

Minimize the game again, open the trainer and UNCHECK the freeze selections for slots 1, 2, 3. Like this:
https://i.imgur.com/4xONao8.png

Now, maximize your game again and request those 100 pistol bullets from Sheva. And then just reload your guns and finish this particular map, up until you two enter the new area and the game shows you "SAVING..." notification.

Then you have to quit the game:

https://i.imgur.com/LOGHpVG.png
and MAKE SURE THAT YOU SAVE YOUR CURRENT EQUIPMENT AND STATUS before leaving:

That's it, now go into item management menu and offload those three pistols for safekeeping in a storage box!

Bugs and shortcomings to consider

As far as pure gameplay functionality is concerned, all these pistols are perfectly functional, just as they are on their appropriate characters from The Mercenaries (Jill BSAA, Wesker STARS and Barry STARS), but there are several minor bugs to keep in mind.

Messed up item management menu icons and descriptions

The first one would be the lack of icons in item management menu. Most of the time, those pistols show default beretta's icons, because they were never meant to be acquired in item management menu:
https://i.imgur.com/ul0ev4F.png
but if you'll scroll through item box menu, they might show the icons of other weapons:
https://i.imgur.com/lkjPutm.png
You can work around it by hovering your mouse cursor on each pistol and press X button to view "details". Since these weapons lack any real names of descriptions, the detailed inspection only shows their database names. Because again, they were never meant to be acquired in item management menu and used in main campaign.

Wesker's samurai edge is called "dummy_wp29" :
https://i.imgur.com/gn3iHLV.png
Barry's samurai edge is called "dummy_wp12" :
https://i.imgur.com/QVbZzFk.png
and Jill's PX4 is called "dummy_wp1f"
https://i.imgur.com/02cidS8.png

Or here's the easiest way to memorize which weapon is which.
Fully loaded Wesker's pistol can hold 15 bullets in a magazine. Fully loaded Jill's pistol can hold 25 bullets. Fully loaded Barry's pistol can hold 30 bullets.
Wesker's - 15. Jill's - 25. Barry's - 30. Keep that in mind and never forget it.

Lack of gameplay icons for Barry's samurai edge
As seen right here: https://i.imgur.com/NJ6m1FD.png
Well, as far as this bug is concerned - tough sh😂te mate. There's no solution to that, grit your teeth and deal with it. But it's a very minor, cosmetic bug, so you can live with it. Wesker's samurai edge and Jill's PX4 does not have any missing in-game icons though.
Bizarre, manly looking stance while using Wesker's and Barry's pistols as Sheva or any other female character
This one is a little bit funny. If you'll equip those two pistols as Sheva then she'll be standing like 100 kilograms buff dude:
https://i.imgur.com/Jq00nIU.png
https://i.imgur.com/XBnPQuO.png
Because these two pistols only have masculine stance animations, because they were only meant to be used by Albert Wesker and Barry Burton, who are men.
Sheva has no problems with PX4 stance though:
https://i.imgur.com/zFslPyP.png

There is no permanent fix for this, but you can run the trainer alongside it, that automatically corrects the stance animation for these two pistols, so that Sheva or any other female character is going to use feminine stance. For Sheva:
https://i.imgur.com/W3XfAz5.png
https://i.imgur.com/IfQJET4.png
For Jill:
https://i.imgur.com/Uv3DEXh.png
https://i.imgur.com/rHwLxFQ.png
and the same correction also works on all the other right-handed female characters (Excella and Rebecca). Just run the trainer together with your game, you don't need to enable anything, the trainer is going to correct the stance animations for you.

Messed up aiming animation while using PX4 as Chris or any other male character
By default, Chris is going to use M93R aiming animation, which is obviously incorrect:
https://i.imgur.com/DSXzgbN.png
This problem can be very easily corrected by installing PX4 male fix created by maluc/syndeh:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KXrto4EmsidKDq20akdVJbqj65IFbLp8/view
After installing this, using PX4 as Chris (or as any other male character such as Wesker, Josh or Barry) is going to look like this:

In conclusion

That's it guys. Hopefully this guide helped you to gain access to these restricted weapons!
And I know that these pistols are not as good as fully upgraded purchasable pistols when it comes to pure statistics, but hey - it's better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them! These restricted weapons are very cool variety enhancements and more variety is never a bad thing.

If this guide helped you then make sure to smash that thumbs up button and give this guide to someone that might find it useful. If you're awesome then click that Favorite button too. But only if you're awesome. If you're not awesome, then I guess don't.

Now go and finish the entire campaign again, but this time - with any of these three pistols mixed into your favorite loadouts! Merry Christmas children.
