How to use your own logo on ships, Steam Deck edition

1. Requirements

You need your logo to be on your Steam Deck in .BMP, .DDS, .GIF, .JPG, .PNG, or .TGA format. I use .PNG. Animated GIFs will be shown as static images. Transparency is supported. Everything else works pretty much as expected.
Your logo must be square, and the length of its sides must be a power of 2. So, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, etc. Smaller is better if you value load times.
Getting the file onto your Steam Deck is beyond the scope of this guide, I use wormhole because I'm lazy but there are other, better ways.
You must have run X4 on your Steam Deck at least once.

Reboot your Steam Deck into desktop mode.
Once in desktop mode, open the file explorer (Dolphin) and navigate to Home.
Open the hamburger menu (the ≡ symbol in the top-right) and make sure "Show Hidden Files" is turned on.
Navigate to .config (note the dot at the start), then EgoSoft, then X4.
Open the folder that's your Steam ID (a string of numbers, if you're the only user this will be the only folder inside, but you might need to use trial and error to find yours).
Finally, open logos.
Open the hamburger menu again and select New Tab.
In the new tab that opened, find wherever you saved your logo.
Right-click on it (tap the left trackpad) and choose "Cut".
Go back to the logos tab, right-click on some empty space, and choose "Paste".

Close the file explorer and use the desktop shortcut to reboot your Steam Deck into game mode.
Play X4, open Player Information, then Logo, and then scroll down to Custom Logos.
If it isn't there, check you followed the instructions correctly. Make sure it's in the right place, and particularly make sure the size is correct.
