What is Enemy Skill Materia?

Enemy Skill materia is a special command materia that allows you to use what is commonly called blue magic in other Final Fantasy Games. Enemy skill magic spells are aquired when enemies cast specific spells on a character equipped with enemy skill materia. There are 4 enemy skill materias total available in game and is not required to make master command materia. Lastly there is a little bad news.... You CANNOT cast Enemy skills on yourself to fill up other enemy skill materias.

Where is Enemy skill Materia?

There are four enemy skill materias in the game. You are going to want
at least three of them, one for every active member in your party. The
materia adds no stats, much like the rest of the command materia i believe. Enemy skill materia however cannot be paired with any support (blue) materia .

The First one is Found on the 67th floor of the Shinra headquarters on Midgar. It appears
after the boss battle occurs with HO512. The materia will bounce just in front of
the containment device holding Aeris and Red13 prior to the fight.

The second one is found in the intermediate training hall, in Junon. You can get this on
your first trip to Junon while dressed up as a Shinra soldier.

the third is found in the Ancient City in the building where Cloud and the rest of the crew stop
to rest after a traumatic ordeal (no Spoilers) It is hidden behind the uppermost bed.

the Fourth is found in Chocobo Sages house, check the green chocobo there and it will
drop it.

Enemy Skills and what they do and where they are

Frog Song:

Turns a single target into a frog and puts them too sleep.
Cost - 5mp
Cast by - Touch me (Gongaga area), Toxic frog (Temple of the Ancients),
and Christopher (North Crater)

L4 Suicide:

Causes critical damage to enemies with level divisible by four. May
also cause 'mini' status as well.
Cost - 10mp
Cast by - Mu (Chocobo farm area - Cast Matra Magic on them), Trickplay (Icicle area)

Magic Hammer:

Takes up to 100mp from an opponent and gives it to the caster. More than likely the most used Blue magic you will use.
Cost - 3mp
Cast by - Razor Weed (Wutai Area)
This is a great skill to use to restore your MP reserves. just dont use it on undead.

White Wind:

Heals all allies (or enemies) by the amount of current hp the
caster has. Also cures the following status changes: sleep, poison, confusion,
silence, slow, stop, frog, mini, slow-numb, petrify, berserk, paralyzed, and
darkness, death force and Shield. If shield status is removed, no other
status will be removed in that casting. The second most used Blue magic you will cast if you are smart.
Cost - 34mp
Cast by - Zemzelett (Junon area). Wind Wing (Whirlwind Maze)*

* = To learn from Wind Wing you must confuse the wind wing. You cannot use the manipulate command materia to learn White Wind

Big Guard:
This is a good one to use now and then with the haste but it has been said there are bugs associated with this skill. the good news is the barrier and haste defitenly work though some claim the magic barrier is broken.
Casts Barrier, Magic Barrier and Haste on all allies (or enemies)
Cost - 56mp
Cast by - Beach plug (Costa del sol beaches)

Angel Whisper:

Fully revives one dead ally, heals an injured ally to full. Angel
whisper also cures the following status changes: KO, Sleep, poison, confusion,
silence, slow, stop, frog, mini, petrify, berserk, darkness and paralyzed.
the good news is this is a cheap life2 / esuna. the bad news is by the time you get this skill death and status effects are a non issue.
Cost - 50mp
Cast by - Pollensalta (Crater)

Dragon Force:

Raises Defense and Magic Defense*
another buggy skill, pretty much garbage, and i cant say i have ever used it.
Cost - 19mp
Cast by - Dark Dragon (Crater)

Death Force:

Target becomes immune to death
insta death really isnt something that is very common in FF7 making this skill mostly useless.
Cost - 3mp
Cast by - Adamantaimai (Wutai Area)

Flame Thrower:

Projects a stream of flame at one target
considering how soon you can get this, its not a bad skill for the damage to mp ratio it does.
Cost - 10mp
Cast by - Ark Dragon (Mithril Mines), Dragon (Mount Nibel)

Laser:

A gravity based attack which takes one half of a single
targets current hp away.
sadly many mobs are immune to this attack or have too little hp for it to be worthwhile.
Cost - 16
Cast by - Death Claw (Desert Prison), Dark Dragon (Crater)

Matra Magic:
Light non-elemental damage to all enemies
this skill is amazing for its low cost and how early on you can get it. Plus it hits all mobs and makes early grinding limit breaks a cinch.
Cost - 8mp
Cast by - Custom Sweeper (Midgar area), Bullmotor (Desert Prison), and
Death Machine (Desert Prison)

Bad Breath:

Casts confusion, frog, mini, poison silence, and sleepel on all
enemies. This is more or less a iconic blue magic spell, sadly yet again by the time you can get it, inflicting status alignments is not really your concern.
Cost - 58mp
Cast by - Malboro (Gaea's Cliff, Crater)

Beta:

Extreme fire damage to all opponents, kinda like a fire 2.5 against all. If you are really cleaver you can get this before you even get to junon. if you can manage that your fights will no longer be a problem for a good portion of the game.
Cost - 35mp
Cast by - Midgar Zolom (Chocobo farm area)

Aqualung:

Extreme water damage to all opponents. this is just like beta but available a little later. Its also really good to have as it does high damage and the added plus is there are very few monsters that can resist water damage.
Cost - 34mp
Can learn from - Harpy (Corel area), Jenova Life (City of the Ancients), and
Serpent (Gelnika Airplane)

Trine*:

Strong lightning damage to all opponents. same story here as beta and aqualung, the bad news is you get this fairly late. if you have been following this guide you will have had beta and lung for quite some time now. This just turns out to be one for the completionists.
Cost - 20mp
Can learn from - Materia Keeper (Mount Nibel Boss), Godo (Wutai), and Stilva (Gaea's
cliff)
*Note: Trine is ONLY taught by these three enemies and they are all one shot. The Materia Keeper you will fight before getting the third and fourth
copies of Enemy skill materia. Stilva's will be fought before getting the
fourth copy of Enemy skill materia. That leaves Godo who is your last chance to get
Trine after you get the Highwind and the fourth enemy skill materia. If you
kill him before this you cannot learn Trine.

Magic Breath:

Extreme fire/lightning/ice damage to all opponents. this is a beta, trine and some ice magic all wrapped into one. again bad news is that its learned kinda late, and is a bit pricy on the mp.
Cost - 75mp
Can learn from - Stilva (Gaea's Cliff), Parasite (Crater)

????:

Does non elemental damage using a formula. Formula: Caster's (max hp - current hp) = damage
somewhat a classic blue magic attack. the mechanic is usually found somewhere in most RPGs. and when you do get to learning it, you have other and safer ways to do incredible amounts of damage.
Cost - 3mp
Can learn from - Jersey (Shinra Mansion), Behemoth (Midgar)

Goblin Punch:

Physical damage to one target based on magical attack. The damage is
greater as your level is nearer to an enemy level.
Cost - 0mp
Can learn from - Goblin (Goblin Island)

Chocobuckle:

Non-elemental damage to a single target. Damage is equal too the
number of battles you have run from. if you like to run from battles this skill will do an insane amount of damage. but then again there are those who play ff7 and will never run from a fight, they are hardcore like that... this will be completely useless to them and will likely learn this while trying to find good chocos to breed.
Cost - 3mp
Can learn from - Chocobos (Chocobo Tracks), Chocobos with levels divisble by 4 near choco farm (Must use lvl 4 suicide to get them to cast it)

L5 Death:

Casts instant death on any target with a level divisible by 5. too late to get many mobs immune to insta death when you get it. pretty worthless, not to mention there are better ways to insta death mobs such as added effect + destruct + slash all....
Cost - 22mp
Can learn from - Parasite (Crater)

Death Sentence:

Creates a sixty second timer above one targets head. When the timer
reaches zero Instant death will be cast. Worthless.
Cost - 10mp
Can learn from - Gi Spector (Cave of Gi) , Sneaky Step (Cave of Gi), and
Boundfat (Bone village area)

Roulette:

Selects a random target from ALL targets on the battle screen and
casts death on that target. this can backfire and kill you too...
Cost - 6mp
Can learn from - Death Dealer (Crater)

Shadow Flare:

Extreme non-elemental damage to a single target. freaking amazing spell. good damage dealer.
Cost - 100mp
Can learn from - Dragon Zombie (Crater), Ultimate Weapon (Cosmo Canyon)

Pandora's Box*:

Heavy magical damage to all enemies. This attack is piercing,
meaning it ignores defense.
Cost - 120mp
Can learn from - Dragon Zombie (Crater)
*This is a one time learn skill, make sure you have ALL of your enemy skill
materias equipped. When the first Dragon Zombie you kill dies, it will cast this.
Once cast, they never seem to cast it again, in my experience that is. I could be wrong but that is rare :P
