All Areas With Hidden Requirements to Access
Lower Undead Burg & The Depths
The door that leads to the Lower Undead Burg can be found on the opposite side of the archway that the door leading to the start of the bridge with the Hellkite Wyvern is located. To open the door, the Basement Key must be in possession. This key can be found on the staircase outside of the church in the Undead Parish, directly behind the Fang Boar on the other side of the gate that closes when neared. Up a set of stairs on the right at the very start of the Lower Undead Burg, a door can be opened that is a shortcut to the Undead Burg. This shortcut leads into a building just beyond the bridge beside the Undead Burg Bonfire, past the Hollow Soldiers throwing firebombs. In order to access The Depths, one must obtain the Key to Depths. This key is dropped by the Capra Demon boss; the area boss of the Lower Undead Burg. The door to The Depths is located down the stairs directly next to the Capra Demon's fog gate and through an alleyway.
Blighttown
Blighttown hosts two entrances. One of these entrances can be accessed after obtaining the Blighttown Key, which is dropped by the area boss of The Depths: Gaping Dragon. The key opens a large gate next to Domhnall of Zena at the bottom of The Depths. The other entrance can be located by taking an elevator beneath Firelink Shrine that leads into New Londo Ruins, taking a right to find a small spiral staircase and opening a locked door with the Master Key. The door leads to the Valley of Drakes where wooden planks can be found bridging across a ravine. On the right of the planks will be a large, dark tunnel that leads to the alternate entrance to Blighttown. The Master Key can be obtained as a starting gift when creating a character, or be purchased from Domhnall of Zena when he moves to beneath the aqueduct next to Firelink Shrine once both bells of awakening have been rung. An alternative for those without a Master Key is to descend Blighttown through the other entrance, then climb from the bottom of Blighttown to the top, starting from a massive water wheel and then up a series of ladders. On the right of the highest ladder, there will be a chest containing the Key to New Londo Ruins. This key allows the locked door connecting the Valley of Drakes and New Londo Ruins to be opened without the use of the Master Key.
Sen's Fortress
To unlock the front gate of Sen's Fortress and therefor access to it, both Bells of Awakening must be rung. One can be found at the very top of the church in the Undead Parish just after completing the Bell Gargoyles boss fight. The second bell can be found directly past the arena of Chaos Witch Quelaag once she is defeated, located in Quelaag's Domain which can be found at the bottom of Blighttown as a massive hill covered in spider silk.
Undead Asylum & Painted World of Ariamis
The Undead Asylum can be returned to after escaping it at the start of the game. However, the instructions to return are complex and the path you must take to return feels unintended, so I suggest watching this video.
When the Undead Asylum is reached, there will be numerous changes from before. The most notable and arguably most important is the Peculiar Doll which is located on a corpse inside of the cell that the game is started in, defended by a Black Knight. At the bottom of the cathedral in Anor Londo, reachable with the rotating stairs, a massive painting is hung on the furthest wall from the entrance. If the Peculiar Doll has been obtained, one can access the Painted World of Ariamis through a prompt at the bottom of the painting.

The Great Hollow & Ash Lake
On a far side of Blighttown, opposite of Quelaag's Domain, is an enormous tree trunk. In front of it is a flat branch that forms a ramp leading into a small room inside of the trunk. Inside of the room is a corpse holding an item. On the left of the corpse is an illusory wall that reveals another room with a chest containing an item. Behind the chest is another illusory wall that leads to The Great Hollow. At the bottom of The Great Hollow there is a tunnel in a wall that leads to Ash Lake.
