Seamless Coop on Linux/Steam Deck

I found the information available for launching the Seamless Coop mod on Linux to be both lacking and not working for my setup, so what follows is the best and easiest method I've found.

First up, download Yui's mod via the "Files" tab on Nexusmods. [www.nexusmods.com]

Place the mod's "ds1sc_launcher.exe" and the "SeamlessCoop" folder into the game's root directory which contains the main game .exe as well. This should be located at:

The mod's installation guide claims it should be in a folder inside the DARK SOULS REMASTERED folder labeled "Game." I found that not to be the case, but if you run into issues perhaps try that. However considering there was no Game folder to be found, that seems not to be the case. Maybe it's a difference between Linux and Windows. After that, insert the following into the launch options for DARK SOULS REMASTERED on Steam:

If that doesn't work, you can try changing the path to the Game folder as mentioned above. In my case this worked perfectly, the other methods people had of launching the "ds1sc_launcher.exe" directly via Steam simply didn't work no matter what I tried. There's a settings configuration file labeled "ds1sc_settings.ini" which, if you placed the files into the root folder as instructed, can be found in:

Doing so will allow you to change things such as whether or not to allow invaders, and perhaps most importantly the ability to set a session password so you can play with a specific friend. You'll both want to enter the same password into that place. That's everything!
