Yo, This is what you do, First you make your game victory as domination only. then choose the earth world map and your difficulty. remember to choose the Polynesian empire, then head straight for Australia and enjoy a prolonged build phase, you see Polynesian empire start with the ability to cross deep waters.

It will take other civs some time to find you. just my tip to you, take it what you will.
