Eternal Broken Achievements [Windows]

Well, for some reason, many people are having trouble unlocking achievements in the Wrath of the Lamb version. I don’t know exactly why this happens, but I’ll try to share all my knowledge on the subject. What worked for me will likely be of great help to you. I will also include alternative solutions in this guide to ensure you can achieve your goals! The solution presented in this guide is exclusive to Windows; I will not include the Mac version.

• Start by going to the installation directory of the binding of isaac

There are several ways to access the directory. You can go to the Steam library, search for "The Binding of Isaac", and click the gear icon on the right, next to "Add to Favorites". After that, click "Manage" and then "Browse Local Files", or simply navigate to the directory below.

• Locate the "flashachievement" file

Inside The Binding of Isaac game folder, you will find a file called “flashachievement”. Click on it and delete it. This file does not affect your save data, but you can create a backup for extra security. ㅤ

• Verify file integrity and restore "flashachievement"

After deleting the “flashachievement” file, close the folder and go to your Steam library. Find The Binding of Isaac, click the gear icon next to “Add to Favorites”, go to “Properties → Installed Files”, and select the option to verify the integrity of the game files. ㅤ

• Start the game and watch your achievements unlock.

After the integrity check, the “flashachievement” file will be recreated. Start the game, and if the issue was related to this file, your achievements should unlock within seconds!

Normally, the first solution resolves most cases, but if you are an exception, I will provide a link to download the modified “flashachievement” file by 1nvisible~.[/b] You will need to access The Binding of Isaac installation directory to delete the "flashachievement" file again, but instead of creating a new one, try copying the modified version there. If none of the previous solutions worked, I'll share my experience with the game and what worked for me. Personally, I had trouble getting the "Eternal Personalities" achievement, which is why it became the profile picture of this guide. To get this achievement, you need to complete Hard Mode, defeating the ??? with each character. By doing so, you earn the individual achievement for each character. I got the achievement for each of the characters, they were active on Steam, and yet I didn't receive the "Eternal Personalities" trophy. So, I decided to check the game's secrets and compare them to what I had already obtained. When I did this, I realized that, for some reason, even though I had completed Hard Mode with Cain and obtained his individual achievement, it wasn't there. I was a little confused because I remember getting it and receiving the achievement on Steam as well. I believe the game had a problem with saving, where the achievement was granted, but after I closed the game, an error occurred and the save was not kept. After playing Hard Mode with Cain again, the “Eternal Personalities” achievement finally unlocked. This is not exactly a solution, but rather a error that happened to me. If you've already tried the previous methods and they didn't work, I recommend comparing your achievements and checking if they are showing up both on Steam and in the game. Also compare the game's secrets with the ones you've already obtained.
