Friday the 13th: The Game - Tips for new players
Tips
There's actually quite a few little tips that help. I don't feel like listing them all so I'll just give you a few beginner tips.
-Play to the counselors strengths and weaknesses. For example, a person using Vanessa, who has high speed and stamina but no stealth, has to be aware of the fact that Jason will most likely be drawn to them quickly so be careful not to give away the positions of the more stealthy, slower counselors.
-Do a little research to find out all of the different items are and what they do.
-Work together to search houses. If you come across a house with locked doors and open windows, there's a good chance that it has already been looted for weapons and gear so just move on.
-Don't forget that Jason can hear you communicate when he's in close proximity so if you're using a mic, saying things like "I've got the battery, let's head to the car!" might not be the best idea.
A few Jason tips...
-if you see someone run into a cabin and lock the door, break all of the windows before entering. That way, they'll lose a little health every time they jump in and out of one in an attempt to evade you.
-Listen for the sound cues. For example, if you hear a car engine sound, that means the counselors are about to hop in one and make a run for it. Get in front of them asap.
-Use your traps.
And the final and most important rule is...
Just have fun. You're not going to escape or kill all of the counselors every time.
