Counselor
-=NEW RAGE UPDATE TIP : YOU CANNOT STUN JASON WHILE HE'S IN RAGE WITH ANY MELEE WEAPON, FLARES, OR FIRECRACKERS. YOU CAN ONLY STUN HIM WITH A SHOTGUN, PAMELA'S SWEATER, OR BY DE-MASKING HIM IF HE'S IN RAGE.=-
============ CONTROLS ====================================================
You can press "X" on your keyboard to jog. This conserves more stamina for when you need it, while moving at a decent speed. Jogging also makes your counselor quieter and generates less noise pings.
You can press "Z" on your keyboard to drop the highlighted item in your inventory and you can hold "Z" to drop whatever is in your hand.
You can press "C" to enter combat stance. In combat stance you can block by holding right click, preform a vertical attack by holding left click, and dodge by double tapping the "A", "S", or "D" keys. Vertical attacks have a higher damage output. You can block throwing knives in combat stance as well.
You can disarm Jason's traps with a pocket knife by crouching down and holding "E" on your keyboard next to it.
If you're not injured at even the slightest, then you can heal other counselors by pressing the number of the slot that's assigned to the healing spray in your inventory.
When you get grabbed by Jason, Spam "E", do not hold it.
============ STATS ========================================================
The STEALTH stat determines how loud and how much noise pings your counselor generates. The higher the stealth stat, the less noisy you are. You are the loudest you can be if you're swimming. If you're playing as a non stealthy counselor, sprinting and especially swimming is loud and makes more noisy and noticeable noise pings for Jason to see. Even jogging is fairly loud if you're playing as a 1/10 stealth counselor.
The COMPOSURE stat determines how well you are at avoiding Jason's sense and how well you are at keeping your fear level down to a minimum. So the higher the composure stat, the higher the chance you'll have of avoiding Jason's Sense and keeping your fear level down. It also increases the rate on how fast it is to break free from Jason's grasp.
The LUCK stat gives quite a small boost in almost everything. It increases weapon durability, increases the amount of stamina you get from breaking out of Jason's grasp, increases the amount of stamina you get from hitting Jason, decreases the time it takes to start up a car and boat, and also gives very slight boosts in other stats.
The STRENGTH stat increases the amount of DAMAGE (not stun chance) dealt by a weapon, reduces combat stamina costs, increases stun times for Jason, and also increases the rate for breaking out of his grasp.
The REPAIR stat is self explanatory. It increases the rate of which how fast the counselor can repair something and increases skill-check size.
The SPEED and STAMINA stat should also be self explanatory. It just determines how fast and how much stamina the counselor has.
============ GAME PLAY ===================================================
Fear - The higher your counselors fear level, the higher the chance they will be picked up from Jason's sense and stumble. Counselors gain fear from staying in places with no power, encountering Jason, or finding a dead body. Fear goes away over time as long as your standing in or near a light source and are away from Jason.
The stun chance on Jason depends on the WEAPON that the counselor is wielding and NOT THE STRENGTH STAT. You can see each weapons stun chances, durability, and damage outputs in the how to play section in game.
When Jason goes into rage. You will hear Pamela laughing and will see a red transparent hockey mask blinking in the bottom right corner.
The higher the weapon's damage stat is, the higher the chance it has to knock Jason's mask off.
When Jason isn't near your group, it's best to split up and start searching for items to find things faster. When he is near you, it's best to group up with others to increase the chance of survival in an encounter.
If you see static on your screen then that means Jason is Shifting (his 3rd ability) or Morphing (his 1st ability). To better avoid his shift, it's better to start moving unpredictably like serpentine (left, right, left, right).
You can regenerate stamina faster by standing still, getting into a hiding spot, or finding and standing in a light source such as street lights. Your stamina regeneration rate decreases if you are crouching.
If you hit Jason regardless if it stuns him or not, you receive a boost in stamina.
Flares shot from flare guns can mark Jason on the map for everyone to see if it hits or travels near him.
Jason can be stunned by fire crackers. You can use fire crackers as a kind of safe point for you to regenerate stamina if you really need it, as long as you're standing in the fire crackers.
Sometimes you can find various items such as pocket knives, healing sprays, fire crackers, and weapons at campsites.
If you drop an objective item (Gas, Car battery, Boat propeller, Phone fuse, or Car keys) it will be marked on the map for all counselors to see. So if you find an objective item and don't want to take it with you, it would be best for you and your team to mark it on the map by picking it up and dropping it.

============ ABILITIES ======================================================
His first ability is called "Morph" and you can activate it by pressing "1" on your keyboard. Morph allows you to teleport anywhere on the map.
His second ability is called "Sense" and you can activate it by pressing "2" on your keyboard. Using sense allows you to see nearby counselors. Sense is much stronger once Jason is in "Rage". Once he's in "Rage" his "Sense" ability has a longer detection range and can even detect counselors in hiding spots.
His third ability is called "Shift" and you can activate it by pressing "3" on your keyboard. Using Shift allows Jason to go super fast and catch up to any counselor. You can also use this to position yourself with Stalk quickly.
His fourth ability is called "Stalk" and you can activate it by pressing "4" on your keyboard. Using stalk makes the music that plays when Jason is near and his footsteps silent for the duration of the Stalk ability.
His fifth and final ability is called "Rage" and you cannot activate this with a key. Rage is gained over time and by getting stunned or hit by counselors. Once Rage is active, all of your ability cool downs are decreased, Sense is more powerful, you can walk through walls and doors, and you won't get stunned by any melee weapons, flares, or firecrackers.
============ GAME PLAY ====================================================
You can find throwing knives scattered all around the map in high places that counselors can't reach.
There is always two throwing knives in your shack that you can pick up.
It's important to place traps at objective locations such as the phone box, cars, boats, and maybe even your shack. Press "R" on your keyboard to place traps. My trapping routine as a Jason with 5 traps starts with placing a trap in front of the phone box, two traps at the 4 seater in front of the gas tank and the right side of the hood where the battery goes, then one trap at the 2 seater or boat. My routine with a Jason with 3 traps starts with one trap in front of the phone box, one at the 4 seater's hood, and then one at the boat or the 2 seater's hood. My routine with a Jason with 7 traps is one in front of the phone box, two at the 4 seater's gas tank and hood, and then two at the boat or 2 seater.
The bubbles you see in the distance as Jason is noise being made by counselors or something else.
