Playing Friday the 13th in 2021+

First off there are some things you should know if you did not already know them. This game will sadly never receive more content, and the servers have been shut down. DON'T PANIC. The game is perfectly playable and multiplayer matches are run on a Peer to Peer fashion so don't expect the best playing experience if you are trying to play with someone hosting from across the world from you, but perfectly playable when playing with someone from your own country or nearby.

You may have noticed in attempting to find a match, games that are filled with players over the max players that matches are actually set to and or have multiple Jason's running around. You know the obvious signs of a hacker/hackers. These lobbies should be avoided at all costs
These lobbies usually have uncapped or a ridiculous player cap that ruins the ability of people actually trying to play matches. Another sign of a hacker is if they have Uber Jason/Jason X as their selected Jason in the lobby screen. That skin was never released due to the lawsuit that cut all future content to this game, If encountering someone with said skin I recommend reporting them due to the fact they ruin the game community.

So getting right to it there are a few ways to find yourself a match.

1. Just search for a match in the main menu - While this can find you a match of people just trying to play like you and I still recommend you give it a shot with friends partying up with you, It is just as likely that you could be pulled into a hackers uncapped lobby.
2. Join a discord group or a steam group of people looking to play. The official Friday the 13th discord has people organizing games multiple times a day.
3. Have a group of 4+ friends and you get the game if you dont already have it and host matches to get more people playing this fantastic game.
