Greed and Secret Rooms

Secret Rooms can sometimes hold Greed instead of money or items.
Secret Rooms always leave at least one opening so the player can exit the Secret Room into the room he entered. Greed spawns hoppers and trites during the battle. You can use these two facts to your advantage so you can earn more money faster and easier.

After you enter the Secret Room and see Greed, wait for him to spawn either hoppers or trites.

Continue with the battle, but leave at least one hopper or trite alive until the end of the fight and Greed's money is scattered across the floor.
Collect the money, and leave the Secret Room with the hopper or trite still alive.
(XRay Vision is highly recommended)


Enter the Secret Room again. You'll notice Greed is back.
You can repeat the steps above, and continue to collect money each time you defeat Greed. However, once you kill the hopper or trite in the Secret Room, Greed will no longer spawn and you cannot collect any more money from that Room.
