HOW TO FARM GREED

Greed appearing in your shop is a pretty common and hair-pulling occurence. However, there is a simple trick to fighting him multiple times on one floor, quickly stacking up the coins from each subsequent encounter. What you need to do is go into the fight with anything that lets you teleport.

Now, simply wait for Greed to summon his flunkies, THEN make him spill loose change all over the floor. LEAVING HIS MINIONS ALIVE, TELEPORT OUT and walk back into the room once you can warp away again. If you have the Teleport! item, milking Greed for all he's worth is a trivial matter, especially with the Habit.

Secret Room Greeds are easier to farm, but the downside to this is that they tend to avoid spawning until the Womb on account of not having a cozy shop to hunker down in.

Farming Greed in the Secret Room is a thing much more easily done. Simply let him spawn enemies, kill him, then leave the enemies alive as you stroll right on out of the hole you made in the wall!

This can be done infinitely if you have an explosive tear effect or the x-ray goggles. Otherwise, you can only make as much money as you're willing to spend bombs.

If the stars align, however, a room with enemies that have explosive effects will be adjacent to Greed's lair, removing the need for either.
