Here we go

So you just got F13, you start it up to try it out.. You get absolutely manhandled by a group of good counselors and now you're thinking this may not be the game for you... What!? Losing is regular in every game. Just because you lose when you're the boss monster it's any different? Well let me tell you something.. It is a PRIVILEGE to be a good Jason! So GET GOOD! I will teach you how

How does Jason die?

ALL STEPS must be fulfilled
1- your mask must be taken off (they hit you to do this)
2- someone grabs the sweater in your house(your mom will ♥♥♥♥♥ about it)
3- Tommy Jarvis(the handsome adult one) is around holding a bladed weapon

How does Jason NOT die?

Don't let them see you
So much of Jason's gameplay relies on stealth. You have so many abilities that let you reposition and get in weird places so they can't know where you are. When you are standing out in the open letting everyone see you, Jason's slow speed is especially noticeable and frustrating. Being stealthy helps protect your mask! They can't hit what they can't see/don't expect.

Don't let them get behind you
Jason's hitbox seems to be organized so that you take head-on hits better than hits to your back or sides. This means when people get behind you, they stun you easily. If you are facing more than one counselor, you need to watch both of them carefully. ((If you have someone in your grip, use them as a shield against a potential attacker rather than facing away and exposing your back.))<-this may not work anymore.

Lead them away from houses
If you spot a group of people looking to get your mask, see if you can make them follow you into the woods. If they do, you get to fear them quicker. When their weapons break, they are now running through the open which makes them an easy SHIFT+grab kill.

Use knives against groups
How do you punish groups of counselors that cover each other? With knives, of course! If you shoot your knives into a tight group, you have more chances to land a hit. Any successful hit is better than a miss. You're also 200% more likely to land a knife on someone who doesn't see you aiming it. Shoot knives from cover or with STALK to help guarantee the hit.

Use traps
People forget that traps deal a ton of damage with no risk to you(Jason). Traps can sometimes deal >50% of a counselor's health. That's an incredible way to remove someone from the game very fast so take advantage of it. Especially with weak Jasons who might not want to fight directly. I'm telling you to put traps in places besides right in front of objectives. Catch people by surprise.

Use melee wisely
I often see people SHIFT right into the center of a group and start using their melee to damage counselors. While it's not a bad idea, you can't only spam M1 and expect to win. They only have to hit you once in the back to stun you and now that teamkilling is not a thing in public lobbies, there is no penalty for those who bodyblock and swing wildly. I think a combination of grabbing and melee is useful. Melee those who are standing too close together and grab the one guy who ran too far from the group.

Have patience: it allows your fear to do work
Are you upset because the person you were chasing for 4 minutes straight had a pocketknife and now you have to chase em all over again? No worries, the chasing you did gave them plenty of fear. Fear is your ultimate weapon and you don't even have to aim it! It also helps you deal with groups. You only need to kill one person.. Everyone within line of sight will witness the body and succumb to fear easier. Fear controls their stamina. You drain their composure, you drain their stamina.

Grab the biggest targets
Try to grab the guy with the axe so that you don't have to take a hit from said axe. Try to grab the Buggzy instead of the Chad. Pay attention to WHO is fighting with WHAT weapon. If Tommy is around, he is always the biggest threat and you need to eat his pocket knife at some point so may as well grab him a lot.

Learn to block
It is a game mechanic you need to learn in order to survive against aggressive, coordinated counselors. Successfully blocking someone ONCE is all you usually need to do. If you block their attack, it means they failed their stun and are now a free grab kill. If you're surrounded by a group, blocking is nice but focus more on not letting anyone get behind you. Blocking does NOT work well against bladed weapons or strength characters so be smart who you block against.

Remember that weapon durability exists
If counselors are going to commit to a Jason kill, they now need to follow you around in order to demask you and land the final blow. You control where they have to be. If you choose to be in a specific area for a long enough time, they will eventually waste all the weapons around and need to move into a new area for more stuff. Remember that Tommy has stupidly high weapon durability. Unless you plan on chasing him a long time, his weapon probably won't be breaking. Even if you are good at blocking, his 10 strength combined with a bladed weapon is not a hit you want to take. Grab him and make him drop his weapon for another counselor to take and break faster.

BEST TIP 10/10 NO KILL AWARD GOES TO:
IGNORE THE SWEATER, focus on keeping your mask on instead
Don't be a MAMAS BOY. The sweater notifies you when they go to it so you will always know. Only way for counselors to get around the alert is to steal your mask. Plus your mom is NAGGING NONSTOP even after they supposedly "take her away". Shes a lying ♥♥♥♥♥. So enough! Stop getting scared when you hear them take it. Instead, try not to let yourself get hit very much, learn to combat-stance and block, but most importantly: take strength characters and bladed weapons seriously.

There you go! With this new knowledge you should be well on your way to being a kickass and hopefully unkillable Jason. Just try to take your time and think things through. But most importantly: HAVE FUN. YOU'RE JASON!!
