Introduction

Oh hey! You clicked on my guide! Well, let's stop wasting time and get right into the details.

Stats and gameplay

Here are Shelly's stats:

Composure: 6
Luck: 1
Repair: 5
Speed: 4
Stamina: 4
Stealth: 8
Strength: 7

As Shelly you are the middle man, what this means is that, like Kenny, you can be a mediocre replacement for a counselor who is dead. His highest stats are his Strength and his Steath. What the strength helps you to do is to take Jason's mask off easier which is perfect for trying to kill Jason, but is mostly useless as well as (though this may not be true) gives you a slightly longer stun time (maybe by 1-1.5 seconds). The stealth doesn't do much in all honesty, Jason can still pick you up via sound, but walking makes it much harder for him.
Basic summary of gameplay:
If you are trying to kill Jason, pair up with a buddy or grab a pocket knife, then use a high damage weapon (machete, axe, even a firepoker will do with the buff they added a few months ago) and then take his mask off, keep in mind you will most likely have to replace your weapon asap but if done with a buddy this shouldn't be a problem, you can also be the stun buddy (the person who whacks Jason after he is stunned with Pamela's sweater. If you are trying to escape, prioritize objectives, examples of how to do this are: take vehicle parts instead of weapons, if you see a low repair counselor repairing trade jobs, have them protect you while you repair. Lastly, if all of the good repair counselors have died, it's your job to replace them unless Tommy Jarvis is still alive.

Perks

Like every other counselor, Shelly benefits from perks.

This part is mostly personal preference, I use perks that benefit his combat capabillity. The perks I use are:
Hypochondriac
Slugger
Swift Attacker

Hypochondriac because it is important to always have a medical spay in your inventory.

Slugger because the baseball bat is a top-tier weapon, so spawning with one is overpowered in my eyes, also when using it with Shelly he gets three hits with the bat instead of one or two.

Swift Attacker because it is important to be able to run away if you don't stun
Jason or miss, but the baseball bat has a longer range and a one-hundered percent chance of stunning so this shouldn't hinder you too much. Also if you didn't know, the baseball bat and the axe have the slowest swing speeds in the game, having a Swift Attacker that is at least thirteen percent puts it at roughly the same speed as all of the other weapons.

Those are the perks I use but the recomended perks are ones that build up his stamina, repair, stealth, or composure. However, he is also very flexible, so most perk builds can actually work with him.

Conclusion

Well guys, that's all of the knowledge I could share, this is my first guide after all. Hopefully this guide helped you in some way.

Thanks?
