Another Music Choice Guide

Introduction

We have a small supply of good ol' 80s music tracks to collect.. But don't you feel it could've had a bit more flavour or there were some songs just sorely lacking? I personally found there was some supremely awesome songs from the early 80s which had a place in this game and likely never got in due to licensing. Well with us being able to add our own songs that's not such a big issue, so without further ado, let me get into this!

Also for some of the lore nerds who may go "BUT SOME OF THIS MUSIC IS LATE 1984 AFTER THE EVENTS OF MGS:TPP!".
"You Spin me Right Round" was released in 1985 and appears in this game, I like to imagine that Big Boss is such a hound for music that he has Miller/Ocelot (or the intel team) getting early copies of music so he can listen to them first, He was the worlds first pirater of music, show some love.

How to Install the Music?

It feels unfair to add this guide without quickly giving you the instructions on how to install your music now doesn't it?

First off you need .mp3s of all the music you wish to add, We all have our methods of getting hold of these and I'm sure some people here can figure out some ways, but for the sake of me keeping this guide up I won't link or officially endorse anything with a big black hat and a skull.

After you've downloaded/purchases your MP3s you need to place them in this route directory; \Steam\steamapps\common\MGS_TPP\CustomSoundtrack, Usually this is within the Program Files(x86) for most people, for me it's not. Just simply drag and drop all your songs in there. I heavily suggest using the proper titles/band names for easier navigation. For example, I went with the naming system I use in this guide.

Quick Note: I have noticed that the game doesn't seem to input a proper duration for my songs. I am unsure why but it usually just goes with 0:00 - ---- Whenever I look, unsure if this is a bug or "Intended feature" but if it happens to you and you can still hear the music don't panic about it, the game will still cycle through your songs fine.

The Music List! (Finally)

Ok I've pre-ambled enough haven't I? Let's get down to the list. I'm doing this alphabetically by band and not within their release years, but I will be nice and place them anyhow.

Outro

Well, this is my personal list of songs and I've found they really add to the game, giving me a much more "80s" feel that even the tracks added. I would suggest to anyone doing the Africa Chapter is to set your Helicopter Speakers (If you've researched them) to "Toto - Africa", it's called "Immersion".
