MGO3’S Cheating Problem

These cheats can be seen from the cheater’s and the receiver’s point of view

1. Speed hacking
2. Infinite ammo/items
3. No damage received
4. Rapidfire
5. Ability to rejoin a room that the cheater has been kicked from
   

These cheats can be seen only from the cheaters point of view, so they will become visible when they record.

1. No recoil/bullet spread (can be detected only if the recording is high quality)
2. Permanent enemy marking (can also be done in a way that is not visible while recording)
3. Tracking aimbot and bending bullets aimbot.

These cheats cannot be seen instantly even in the cheaters recording. They need to be compared with other legit players and analyzed

1. Lag switch
2. Single tap Aimbot
3. Modded files.
   Modded files can decrease the time some actions take, like recovery from knockdown, time to raise weapons etc. They can be very hard to detect.
4. Minor speed hacking.
5. Increased Health
6. Increased Damage
7. Enemy Overlays out of Steam (custom wallhacks)

1. Uncapped FPS
   Uncapping FPS is something that is not natively supported in the game and that’s for a reason. Many game physics and timing are tied to the FPS. Having FPS above 60 will increase the players DPS (Damage Per Second). Also, their actions will register faster, meaning they will have an advantage in shooting and CQC. Walking and running is also slightly faster, but it is marginal and hard to notice.
2. Low FPS
   Is low FPS cheating? Well not exactly but there is a reason why its here. People who have low fps, do not do this intentionally, therefore they are not cheaters, since it is not their fault that they cannot have 60 FPS. However, FPS below 60 can cause lag and the player to look like he is teleporting all the time. Even worse, if they become host, everyone in the room will lag causing a really bad match quality.
3. Macros
   Macros can make a player wake up faster than what they would with KBM. Also, Macros can break the CQC grab. Some people also combine macros with exploits.
4. Glitches/Exploits
   MGO3 is home to many exploits. These start from innocent cancelling animations and progress to firing weapons faster, to full auto WU pistol. They can also be used to abuse movement tactics with CBOX, avoid fall damage, pop Fulton balloons or get out of map boundaries.
   Unfortunately, Konami did not patch the game for 4 years and many glitches/exploits are open for use.
5. Cosmetic Mods
   Cosmetic Mods are not harmful on their own, however any modification of the game files, can cause conflicts in-game due to different parameters. This will create lag and can create a bad experience for other players. It has been recorded in the past that some cosmetic mods, created additional lag.
6. Any Single Player MOD.
   MODs for the MGSV single player game, can affect MGO3 because they share some files. When players install single player mods, they don’t know if the same files are used by MGO3. This can also cause conflicting files and parameters causing the game to lag.
