Introduction

Hey there!

I want to present you a small guide for the combination of the classes Demolitionist and Nightblade. This is a very deadly combination because you deal very much critical, fire and piercing damage and you can keep distance to your enemies. Furthermore you save a lot of healing potions, because most the enemies either die before they can reach you or they cannot hit you with normal damage.
My first intention was to try out a pure ranged class because I just played melee and sorcerer classes/combinations before. So I first picked the Demolitionist. After a short while playing this character I realized how overpowered this class is. First of all you have many powerfull passive or lockable skills which give you more fire, piercing, lightning and ofcourse physical damage. So it seems like the Demolitionist is a combination of the old Titan Quest classes Ranger and Earth what is sooooo powerfull that I decided to play my character just with this one class. In the middle of Act II I realized that my health wasn't increasing anymore because I reached lvl 50 of the class and that would be a problem with boss monsters of increasing levels and damage. Because I wanted nothing more than more critical damage and health I've decided to choose Nightblade as the second class, because its passive skills are nice to have and it has the perfect balance of Cunning and Health.
That should be enough for a little introduction why I have chosen these classes. I hope you enjoy my guide!
I will also refresh this guide with every new level cap of the game and with new loot of my character.

Edit (09.2015): I will cut this guide for further updates, though it won't be as long as the old ones.

Also check out my guide for a pure Arcanist dealing 10k dps!

Chapter 1: Skills

Demolitionist
Fire Strike
Very usefull and very powerfull if maxed. Absolute choice No. 1 to use as default weapon. Give 1 point to this at the beginning and 1 point each to Explosive Strike, Static Strike and Splinter. After a full mastery progression fill up Fire Strike. Stun Jacks
Useless! If you want to stun enemies, choose the right weapon or fill up the skills for Canister Bomb! Flashbang
In my opinion same as Stun Jacks, so.... USELESS! Use Canister Bomb with the right skills and weapons! Blast Shield
I don't know much to say about it. It could be usefull against pure fire enemies but if they die before they can hit you or if you have enough fire resistance it's just a waste of skill points. In my opinion you can have it but don't spend more than 1 point in this crap. Blackwater Cocktail
I never used it because I preferred the Canister Bomb, Grenado and Ulzuin's Chosen. But it seems nice to deal some fire damage over time to some dumb enemies. Maybe add 1 point to each skill Blackwater Cocktail, Demon Fire and Agonizing Flames and then add slowly more points to Blackwater Cocktail. Flame Touched
Nice lockable skill to deal some fire damage to your enemies. At first add 1 point each to Flame Touched and Temper and add later some more points in both. Vindictive Flame
Nice lockable defensive skill to deal some fire and lightning damage to those enemies who come close to you. At first add 1 point each to Vindictive Flame and Ulzuin's Wrath and add later some more points in both. Grenado
Best - skill - in - whole - class, in my opinion of course. Very powerful against hordes of common and champion enemies and against hero and boss enemies. You can add 1 point each to Grenado, High Impact and Skyfire Grenado. You don't need to add more points in there, it's powerful enough. Canister Bomb
Second - best - skill - in - whole - class! Also very powerful and you have the chance to stun little and big enemies. Add 1 point each to Canister Bomb and Improved Casing, in my opinion powerful enough then. Also fill up Concussive Bomb if you want to have a better chance to stun your enemies and keep them away from you. Mortar Trap
I've never used pet skills with my Saboteur. In my opinion useless in this guide. Thermite Mine
Same as Mortar Trap... useless. Ulzuin's Chosen
Effects the two best skills in this class so... third - best - skill - in - whole - class, maybe. I've added 1 point in it.
Nightblade

I describe here just some skills I would use and which are not for melee weapons because there are many skills which are only usable with melee weapons in this class.

Phantasmal Armor
Pierce Resistance and Armor sounds nice, so add some points in there! Anatomy of Murder
Main effect is: More Cunning! So fill up this skill. More damage to humans and bleeding damage are also nice so have. Merciless Repertoire
Some more extra damages which are nice to have so add some points in this skill, too. Blade Barrier
Good for a rescue in the last second, if the cooldown of your health potion is still active. One-Point-Wonder

Chapter 2: Attributes

Cunning is the Alpha and Omega! With a level cap of 40 at the moment I would add 35 points to Cunning and maybe 5 points to Physique, only if you need it like me for some nice equipment.

Here you can see some of my stats at lvl 50:
