Flawless Widescreen's patch fix (2024)

• Open a new/empty tab in your browser

• [... with Steam running...] Type "steam://open/console" in the URL field and press ENTER; Steam should open its console in the client

• Input the command "download_depot 379720 379721 907965064786099828" in Steam's console and press ENTER; this will start the download of the last version of the game that supported Flawless Widescreen's patch

• Wait for the download to be done (indicated by a message in the console saying that the download is complete, may take a minute)

• Once the download is done, go to your Steam installation folder (e.g.: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\") and into ".\steamapps\content\depot_379721"; copy this folder's contents (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C), which should consist of 5 files for a total size of approximately 164 MB

• Paste (CTRL+V) these files into your DOOM installation folder (e.g.: "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DOOM"), replacing the existing ones

If you did everything correctly, Flawless Widescreen's patch should now work properly, congrats, enjoy, cya.
