Halo Custom Edition + Ultimate Map Collection

Halo Custom Edition is a highly mod-able multiplayer version of the original Halo Combat Evolved PC port which, prior to the Halo Master Chief Collection on PC was (and in my opinion still is) the height of the Halo Modding Community and THE Halo you played if you want to drive Scarab spiders, fly Pelicans or phantoms, play as Elites or Hunters, fly Covenant Capital Ships.. yep this has it all through the form of community-made modded maps such as the notorious Extinction_AI which has been emulated (and now broken like most of the current big Halo mods for MCC) for Halo MCC.

Halo Custom Edition has the capacity for singleplayer content also of course, in fact every one of these "multiplayer" maps can be played singleplayer with many even meant to be played singleplayer anyway. Not only is there a decade plus worth of these maps, but there have been professional modding teams who have created entire campaigns for Halo Custom Edition (these campaigns can be seen in the screenshots of this guide). There are many of them and many of them are beautiful creations, and many are in this download :) .

Halo Custom Edition's modding community is FULL of the most obscure and strange maps that you find and when you load it up are met with an absolute feeling of mystery as to what the map's inspiration is and who made it, most of these maps were made long ago so it adds to that obscurity feeling, it is like an adventure or exploration of sorts... Halo Custom Edition of course also has like i've said a great plethora of multiplayer purposed maps like Ambush which is made for team battles, beautiful and definitely worthy of their own Halo game -especially the campaigns like Halo: Covert Ops or Project Takedown.

All in all, this before Halo MCC was the Halo you got if you wanted a modded sanbox Halo (excluding J-tagged Xbox's of course lmao), I had some of the best time with Halo Custom Edition when I was younger, it's nostalgic to me. Seeing as there is little to no care about Halo Custom Edition nowadays and on the Steam community I figured why not give my Halo Custom Edition collection to all of you? :)

If you want to play Halo Custom Edition with your friends, I am afraid this guide is not so useful for you, however the maps included in this download definitely are.

I included as much of the beautiful classics as I could remember and refind.

Also includes the Universal UI replacer and ALL of the campaigns AND firefights that is available in it (except for the main Bungie Halo CE campaign since we have Halo MCC for that, this is only Custom Edition! Also excludes the SPV3 campaign since I couldn't find it in .map format :/ ).

Also includes an FOV slider. When in the main menu press F6 and use your mouse to adjust your FOV (the golden number is 110). Then press F6 again to lock it in place.

DO NOT attempt to use the FOV slider in-game, it may seem seemless and good but it will cause random crashes, ONLY do it in the main menu.

There is a Dev Trainer (cheat menu) in the files as well, it is in a folder called "Trainer". It's meant for SPV3 but it works for Halo Custom Edition too. It has all the classic commands from Bump Posession to Super Jump and Medusa etc.

To play Halo Custom Edition Maps go to Multiplayer --> LAN and choose a map. There are many maps which will crash when you load them because these .map files are meant for either a Firefight or a Campaign and therefore must be loaded through the Firefight menu or the Campaign menu. Maps such as Extinction_AI or B30_MPZ are meant for LAN singleplayer. Keep this in mind when choosing a map to play and you load up Slender Forest and it crashes haha.
