how to be good at every halo game

halo combat evolved

in halo combat evolved (also known as halo CE or Halo: The First) the weapon sandbox is very limited in comparison to later games so there is not much to note.

1: never use the magnum/pistol. is very bad and does no damage and is only good because you can melee with it(something you cannot do with any other weapon)

2: the movement is very slow and bad so never try to move a lot just get to a high place and crouch and use the only viable weapons from long range

3: speaking of viable weapons, here they are; the assault rifle is quite good because you can one tap people with a headshot from across the map just like in valorant. the shotgun is very good because just like in call of duty modern warfare 2 (2009) it can hit people from very very far away and kill them very good. the plasma pistol is the final entry on the list of viable weapons because it can charge up and kill people in a single shot from across the map and it's a homing weapon.

4: never use vehicles they are bad and also grenades didn't exist yet in combat evolved so obviously you can't use them

halo 2

in halo 2(no subtitle because they got very lazy) there are much more weapons and the movement is better but still not good because there is no sprint or slide like in call of duty also you are only allowed to play 4v4 in halo 2 which is kinda sad

1: after they saw call of duty modern warfare 2 (2009) added akimbo weapons bungie stole the idea and put dual wielding in halo 2. it is very weak unless you use the right combos which i will now list off:
1-a: dual smgs. simple, they are overpowered and awesome, if they weren't why would master chief be holding them on the cover of halo 2????

1-b: dual magnums. they are super strong and kill everything in two shots so yeah.

1-c: plasma pistol needler combo. the plasma pistol can break armor in one charged shot and the needler can then kill the bad guys

2:unfortunately there are no vehicles so you can't use those but they did add grenades which are very strong and should be thrown around every corner if you have them

3: the battle rifle is some evil satan ♥♥♥♥ and has a strange mechanic where the last bullet of the three round burst does a lot of damage and the first two only do knockback so i'd recommend training until you get the timing right to miss the first two shots and connect the third shot which will kill any enemy instantly and prevent you from missing due to knockback

4: never stop jumping. this game has skill based matchmaking and if you do everything i tell you to it will detect you are extremely good and pair you with other gods, and great players always jump the whole match as a sign of respect to the others great players.

halo 3

halo 3(again no cool title, step up your game bungie) has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass load of weapons and every single one of them is broken so i will only be talking about two of them and the rest of the guide will be about movement and vehicles

1: the two weapons i feel i should give special acknowledgement to are the energy sword and the brute shot because they are very deceptive weapons. the energy sword, despite its name, is actually not a sword but a magic anti gravity wand that makes you soar into the air when you swing it so only use it for flying. the brute shot may seem like it shoots out brutes but in fact it shoots out grenades so use it the same way i told you to use grenades in halo 2

2: this is the only halo game that lets you have a party queue into multiplayer and if you do you will get a massive speed increase so i suggest always playing with a friend even if he's just afk or even make an alt account to play with just to give your main one a speed boost

3: vehicles are now more realistic because bungie saw what war thunder was doing and copied everything from it and put it into halo 3. so if you want to get good with the vehicles just watch a war thunder tutorial.

4: hidden mechanic for pc players only: after you kill someone make sure to walk over their corpse and hit left ctrl repeatedly to unlock a powerup that lets you sprint and slide cancel like in warzone. this is called the crtl easter egg.

5: bandages and shield cells can be found by opening a hidden box in the out of bounds section of sandtrap. these will give you a competitive edge and used in combination with the crtl easter egg it is obscenely powerful

halo 3: odst

no multiplayer so it doesn't count as a real halo game

halo reach

i forgot what i was gonna say about halo reach but at least it doesn't have some stupid ♥♥♥♥ name like halo 4

1: there are only two good armor abilities; active camo and armor lock. everything else is trash

2: the DMR is so bad because it has bloom and i don't know how to time my shots so never ever use it

3: the movement is insane in this game they have slide cancelling, tap strafing, doing an aerial 360 can be bound to a key on pc, it's got walljumps and climbing, this game is very movement heavy so some tips and tricks are; you can skip reload animations by walljumping and doing a melee at the same time, if you slide off a cliff/tall structure and do an aerial 360 all your momentum will be carried in the direction you are now facing and if you do a walljump off of the cliff face/wall of tall structure you will be launched way into the sky and fall down very slowly allowing for some epic sniper kills

4: assassinations are always a good idea because you and your target are always invincible during the animation and you automatically turn to face the nearest enemy as soon as the animation ends so you never have to be worried about getting assassinated yourself

5: don't get in the banshee you can die to a literal toddler using the assault rifle

halo 4

it's so easy that literally everyone who plays it is on the exact same level. you can't sprint or slide anymore though :( L
