How to Break the Game

Do you already have Platinum God and have nothing else to do with the game? If not, I don't really care and you can read on anyway. Anyways, if you want a little bit of fun in your life, then what you need to know is how to break the game.

Note: Breaking the game often requires a significant amount of luck and partial skill. If you are lucky enough you may be able to break the game on the second floor. You will also require alot of patience, as the breaking process may take over an hour long.

First off, you're going to have to play as Isaac, or if you're lucky enough, simply have the D6. Try as hard as you can to aquire both the Habit and the Scapular. (Scapular isn't neccessarily required, though it requires alot more skill.)

Once you have the required items, you'll need to know how to generate infinite rolls. Damage your self twice to charge your item, and then use it. Do this until you have half a red heart, so the scapular will give you a soul heart. Exit the room and re-enter so that scapular's effect will regenerate. Use your item and damage yourself twice again. Exit and re-enter the room, and then use your item. Repeat.

The D20 is the one of the most important parts of breaking this game. To generate it you will have to use the above method in a treasure room to generate it. DO NOT pick up any item that you find really good. (Mom's Knife, Polyphemus, etc.) You will be able to get them in the breaking process. Once you find the D20, pick it up, and proceed to the next step.

Look for a room with pickups in it and an easy way to take damage near the room. Being near/in curse rooms are the best spots. Curse rooms generate angel/devil room items, and secret rooms will generate secret room items. If the super secret room is a cathedral style room, all red heart drops will become eternal hearts. Keep these in mind and you WILL get the items you want eventually. DO NOT break the game in the same room that your D6 is in.

WARNING: Breaking may cause your game to be extremely laggy. Breaking for too long will also cause your game to crash.
With your D20, re-roll the pickup in the room with the infinite rolls method until it becomes a chest. Open the chest to create more pickups, and re-roll it. Remember, opened chest CAN be rolled, so make sure you have a roll when you open it. Don't bother with golden chest until you have a golden key or have started with 40+ keys. Keep rolling and open every chest that appears. Continue until the room is pretty much filled with pickups. Once you have picked up a golden key, it's time to take it to the next level.

Now that you have your golden key, it's time to open golden chests. Keep opening all the chests that you end up rolling. What you're looking for is the golden chests giving you items. DO NOT pick up the items unless it is an item that you are wanting. Once you have a number of items in the room that you're satisfied with, it's time to start rolling them with the D6. A number I recommend is 3.

Continue rolling the items in the room until they are the items that you are looking for/would want to pick up. Once those items are gone, pick up your D20 and repeat the last part of breaking, to generate more items. Repeat until you have ALL the items you want, then you can go ahead and kill everything you see.



And that concludes this guide. Now here's a little extras section for ya!

Watch out for troll bombs. They can end your breaking quite unexpectedly. A good way to avoid this is taking the Wafer.
If the game gets too laggy for you, go ahead and clean up the room a bit.
Picking up and putting down spacebar items you don't want will get them out of the rotation. If you pick up more than 5 spacebar items, then your game will eventually crash. Leaving the spacebar items will eventually refresh the item pool instead.
Tough Love will give you 100% teeth when you have about 10 luck up pills. Pick up the Lucky Foot/PHD to increase chance of finding luck ups.

These are cool item combos that are alot of fun to play with.

Combo 1: Technology, Loki's horns, Mom's eye, Tough love, Wiggle worm, Polyphemus, My reflection, and alot of damage ups.
Result: Techonology laser covering pretty much the entire screen. (Note real laser is still just a line infront of you.) Also tears/teeth will fire from all other directions.

Combo 2: Sacred heart, Loki's Horns, Mom's eye, My reflection, Wiggle Worm, Polyphemus, Tough love, high range, high fire rate, alot of damage ups.
Result: Tears pretty much destroying everything in the room. Works best with 100% teeth.

Combo 3: Mom's Knife/Brimstone, every damage up in the game.
Result: 1-shot Blue Baby. Less fun to do than the other ones.

Combo 4: Dr. Fetus, Bobby Bomb, Bob's Curse, Mr.Mega.
Result: Overpowered bombs. Also fun when you have Remote Detonator.
