Introduction/TL:DR

So for the longest time I've kept hearing Halo MCC is now playable on Steam Deck, but for some reason when I launch multiplayer with the Anti-Cheat on it would not let me play Halo matchmaking online, just the campaigns. Recently I found out this currently a bug, and quite easy to work around.

TL:DR just disable easy anti-cheat until this bug is fixed! As explained by the video below:

Step-by-step Guide (For The BabyBoomers)

If you still don't get it somehow, here's a more detailed explanation:

On Your Steam deck with Halo MCC installed on it:

  1. Click start/the 3 line button while hovering over Halo MCC
  2. scroll down to properties and press A
  3. On the general screen scroll down to Launch Options and press A again
  4. From the drop down menu proceed to select "Play Halo: MCC Anti-Cheat Disabled (Mods and Limited Services)"
  5. Enjoy!

Special thanks to my buddy GameNerdz for explaining this and sending me the video. If you already knew this about bug and the 'how to' fix it process spread the word to your friends who own a Steam Deck too. Hopefully this bug will be fixed some time in the near future. Until then, this method will have to do, game on!
