Splitscreen Guide

Installing this is fairly simple you just need to use the right versions. This still works as of January 2026 but who knows maybe 343 Industries will update the game for no good reason and break this. For Linux users I recommend using Ge-Proton10-15 which you can get from the app ProtonUp-QT if you don't already have it. Anyways lets get into it.

1) First you'll want to install this Visual C++ Redistributable version. Without it the mod won't work as it depends on it.

Linux users will need to install this using Protontricks. I recommend using the GUI as then it's just a matter of picking the game from Protontricks and running the executable on the games prefix like so.
2) Next let's go grab the mod here. If you're wondering why we're using a fork instead of WinterSquire it's because theirs is outdated and no longer works.

Extract the dll and place it in the directory 'MCC\Binaries\Win64'. Linux users will need to add this dll override to the games Steam options.

3. Now when you go to run the game you'll need to run it without anti cheat otherwise the game simply won't launch. You can change this in the games Steam options.

F4 or Controller Back + Controller Start Toggle Menu

Game input is disabled while the menu is active and you can navigate with the controller using the sticks for mouse movement and RB to click. To do coop you'll need to enable splitscreen and disable keyboard and mouse for player 1 like so. Make sure to adjust the controllers to the right ones.
