Before diving into this adventurous world

Dear adventurers, I will talk about some things we need to pay attention to when creating a world in Project Zomboid.

Most players just choose one of the existing preset settings and start playing, but there are a few things we need to customize first.

  1. Enabling outlines
this is one of the settings you need to enable to see when your weapon is ready to take down zombies; I recommend enabling this setting for both firearms and melee weapons.
  2. zombies reborn
Disabling zombie respawning is more in line with the game's realistic nature; also, after establishing a base and clearing the area, hearing zombie sounds and seeing your structures damaged again 10 days later as if you hadn't killed any zombies at all...That would be quite annoying, so turning this setting off will make the base you've built for relieving the day's fatigue and resting your muscles safer.
  3. almost there
Project Zomboid, with its extensive mod library, offers players a customizable apocalyptic scenario. Mod installations can sometimes be confusing, so my advice is to avoid mods if you're playing Zombie for the first time or haven't yet completed couple of ten hours of gameplay. Maybe a few car and weapon mods... god ! they are impossible to resist.

As the train approaches the station

1. choosing the location where your scared body's zomboid version gonna appear
Each city has its own characteristic features, classic base locations and types of shops.
Rosewood and Riverside stand out as locations for beginners due to their low population and fewer hungry neighbors knocking on your door. Rosewood is the most convenient location in the game; it has its own fire station and police station, so you can have the best melee weapon, an axe, and a few entry-level firearms. It also has a library where you can find books to improve your skills. Riverside, while offering more extensive resources, is more dangerous and also further away from the other locations.

2. occupation and traits
First, we need to decide what kind of character we want to use. We can't have every trait; for example, if we decide to use melee weapons, we don't need traits that provide points for aiming. We absolutely need to create a character with some aptitude for a particular weapon type and above-average fitness and strength points. Too many good traits mean too many bad traits, so don't add more than a few traits on top of what I've mentioned; keep it simple. For now, avoid things that might initially cause you a lot of trouble, like a broken leg or hearing loss.

Starting the engine

1 first steps
when you first spawn , press ''Lctrl'' to cruch or whichever button you use Next, quietly explore the building where you spawn: gather some food, a bottle to put water in, a pair of shoes to get you around, and maybe some simple self-defense tools... Don't be too eager to engage in combat with zombies; remember, the goal of this game isn't to kill zombies, but to survive by staying as far away from them as possible. The combat mechanics are a bit unusual: hold down mouse button 2 and shoot with mouse button 1. Use the space bar to push. To maintain your weapon's durability and make less noise, push the zombies to the ground and crush their heads with the space bar. Pushing isn't the only way to knock them down; zombies trying to get through fences and windows will also fall. Finish them off before they have a chance to get back up!

  1. First days
The first few days of slowly getting used to this unbelievable world need to be perfectly organized. For the first 9 days, there will be shows on the "Life and Living" channel on television that give XP for certain skills. Follow these shows and note their times. They will appear at similar times until the end of the 9th day. To multiply the XP you get from these shows, you can obtain XP multipliers by reading books related to the relevant skills from the library.
x skill volume 1 book means that book gave you XP multiplier for the first 2 levels of that skill.
    Vol 2 3rd and 4th
    Vol 3 5th and 6th
    Vol 4 7th and 8th
    Vol 5 9th and 10th level's XP multiplier
  2. to find comfort
After collecting all your last experience points from the latest TV show, you're free to explore this vast world, except perhaps by building a generator to keep you lit when the power goes out and a few barrels to collect rainwater. Destroy, loot, kill, and conquer. Feed your hungry neighbors with bullets, or give them a scar they'll never forget. And most importantly, don't forget to have fun!
