New Features

Realistic car physics is a mod that overhauls all of project zomboids car physics. This is a list of the latest features added

Try these new options by enabling them in the sandbox menu! These are all beta options and by default disabled. only supports Vanilla vehicles right now

Engine sound overhaul
With 4 new engine sound sets applied to all vanilla vehicles. Hear the roar of the engines come to life with sounds that respond to your throttle.
Horsepower and weight overhaul:
No longer will all the cars drive just like each other, each car is given realistic horsepower and weight from the real life car its based off of. Some cars will drive crazy fast while others will lumber up to speed. Larger vehicles with more HP will consume more fuel with project summer car, while lighter cars will be more fuel efficient. Trailers are also heavier and can store more! Vehicles now range from 900 to 3100KG and 70hp to 400hp!
Trunk overhaul:
Vehicles now have 100~1300 sized trunks and you can scale that up or down as much as you wish in the sandbox options! The big slow vans have massive storage while the faster vehicles now have trunks that can at least store a couple backpacks worth of stuff. The pickup trucks and SUV's store lots and trailers have also been made much bigger!

Main Features

Vehicle physics has been redone
To solve several vanilla bugs like heavy vehicles tires falling through the world and going out of control when driving over zombies and animals along with easy towing, better shifting and engine sounds. Vehicles can now exceed 10,000kg when they used to be limited to 1,500kg or so. Cargo capacity can now exceed 1,000kg without issue.
Towing vehicles is now easy!
Someone left the brakes on the towed vehicle! Towed vehicles glide with ease behind you.. and crash into you if you stop too suddenly. Towed cars now steer slightly towards you. Drag and on/off road rolling resistance has been redone from scratch and is now fully adjustable in sandbox options. Optionally require the key or vehicle be hot-wired to tow them easily!
Slowdown from hitting zombies and plants
Is now fully adjustable in sandbox options! Make it as easy or as hard to plow through hoards of zombies as you want! Same with
Different vehicles have different RPM red lines
And hit them in every gear before shifting if you floor it! Listen to your engine roar to life when you floor it down the city streets and highways!
Transmission shifts
to save fuel when you apply partial throttle and down shifts when you apply full throttle just like a real automatic transmission!
Optional Manual transmission mode
if you prefer to shift yourself! Configurable shifting keys as well. See the mod option menu to enable.
Accurately simulated 3-4-5 speed auto transmission
With torque converter and alternate transmissions up to 8 speeds available via Project Summer Car as well as many other advanced car mechanic features!

Dynamic traction!
Vehicle traction for steering, braking and acceleration is now all dynamic and changes depending on road surface (onroad/offroad), weather like rain or snow, tire condition and pressure!
Tires matter!
Low condition tires will burnout when you try to accelerate, Full inflation pressure will reduce drag on the road while low inflation pressure will reduce drag off road and increase traction off road!
Tires now visually lockup during hand braking and spin out
When losing friction when accelerating. Tire friction based on tire type and condition limits accelerations. Enhanced tire skidding noises when burning out, turning hard and locking up the hand brake with different sounds for on road vs off road skids.
Configurable steering
With multiple settings to fine tune steering at low and high speed. Or switch back to vanilla steering if you wish!
Horsepower tweaks
Made by mods like project summer car now properly affect acceleration.
Per car adjustments
Of horsepower and top speed in sandbox settings. Make OP vehicles balanced! make underpowered vehicles overpowered! whatever you wanna do! This mod lets you adjust it all!
Optional: Disables autostart
when you press the gas pedal. Click the engine icon or press engine start (default N) instead!
Cruise Control
has been improved and is now much easier and safer to use!
Gamepad
support for analog throttle, brake and manual shifting!
Compatible with: KI5, Filibuster Rhymes and all other mods that add new cars to the game!
Not compatible with: Build 41, Better Car Physics, Effortless towing.
Can be installed/removed at any time in a save game!
