How to get Salvaged Frigate Modules

Freighter upgrades and base pieces require Salvaged Frigate Modules, and sometimes quite a lot of them. Getting them isn't actually that hard, but getting a handful may prove difficult.

As it says in their item description, these modules can be obtained from crashed freighters or frigate expeditions. So let's get into it!

Certain expeditions can reward Salvaged Frigate Modules; from my experience, you can get them from Industrial, Trade and Balanced expeditions. There are plenty of good guides regarding frigates, so I'd recommend checking those if you want to learn more.

Sometimes, you can find a crashed freighter on the surface of a planet. They can reward you with frigate modules, too! To begin searching, go to a cartographer at a space station and purchase emergency cartographic data:

You may need a few of those charts, as you'll have to keep using them until you find a crashed freighter.

Once you arrive, open drop pods in the area, which can be located with the Analisis Vizor. They have a chance to contain a Salvaged Frigate Module.

It is also possible to find frigate modules in abandoned freighters in space. In order to find one of these freighters, you must aquire an Emergency Signal Scanner from a Scrap Dealer at a space station.

As you can see, it can be quite expensive, but don't worry! Not only is making money easy in this game, after your first derelict freighter you'll be able to recieve a free scanner from Iteration: Helios at the Space Anomaly every week!

Once you have the neccessary item, activate it, turn on your pulse drive, and you'll find a derelict in no time. Scavenging on these freighters can of course get you some Salvaged Frigate Modules.
