A guide to Reload dashing
Requirements for the trick.
To perform Reload Dashing, you need:
Any gun that has a single bullet reload animation such as a .357 revolver, which can be purchased early on in the game from Chet in goodsprings.
you also need a second ammo type e.g: .357 (normal) and .357 (hollow point) to switch between to reload at will without losing that precious ammo.
hotkeys to equip and unequip weapons may help in this process.

How to perform the trick
To perform the trick itself, you must hold out the weapon, press reload or switch ammo types if you wish to conserve ammo and then spam your pip boy button until the menu opens.
Then unequip the weapon, close the pip boy and enjoy your burst of speed.
please note that if in hard core mode, doing this could cause some fall damage, so be careful!
