Revealed during the grand finals of maimai DX in the King of Performai 6th, two players, Yoshiki and Royal Bread were met with a final chart that no one as seen. Suffice to say, Yoshiki being the goat won the game of sightreading and earned his champion title of maimai DX.
Enough of this backstory, how do I get this door? The door is unlocked by going through the Metropolis Area 9 (メトロポリスちほー9). The conditions to obtain the key is pretty simple. You will need to play a set only playing songs featured in previous King of Performai qualifiers and finals.

- Rising on the horizon
- KHYMΞXΛ
- Divide et impera!

Phase #3: Purple Door
Japan: 20th December 2024
International: 11th April 2025
The process to discover the key varies between the JP and international version. However, to discover the door, all you need to do is complete the BLACK ROSE Area 10 (BLACK ROSE
JP Version
1. Go to the maimaidx.net website2. Go to the serial code section and enter 51090942171709440000.
International Version
Since this version does not have the code feature, you instead need to do the following1. Equip any variant of Owl (アウル) as the tour leader. You can purchase one from the shop for 600 maimiles.
2. During your set, play only any songs from the Kotonoha Project. 有明/Ariake is also acceptable given your partner has the song unlocked.
Phase #4: White Door
Japan: 25th October 2024
International: 23rd May 2025
Depending which version you're playing on, this is either your 2nd or 4th door to attempt. But this guide was written for the international audience in mind. The door is locked behind the Heaven Area 8 (天界ちほー8). To obtain the key, you need to equip the Latent Kingdom frame on your profile. If you don't own the frame, you can buy it from the shop for 1500 maimiles, which you can get by completing daily and weekly tasks. Once you've done that, equip it and play a set with only Kanon Oguni (小国奏音) songs:
- 封焔の135秒
- ほしぞらスペクタクル
- U&iVERSE -銀河鸞翔-
- ツムギボシ
- ここからはじまるプロローグ。 (Kanon Remix)
- Latent Kingdom
Phase #5: Yellow Door
Japan: 13th March 2025
International: 24th July 2025
As of writing, this is the latest door in the international version.
The door is discovered by going through the Nanairo Area
To find the key, you need to pick random and land on any of these songs. This can easily be done by adding the following to your favourites.
- Paradisoda
TO THE COSMIC!!
- NOIZY BOUNCE
- Fraq
Phase #6: Red Door
Japan: 9th May 2025
International: TBA
This guide might not be up to date so if the red door is out. Assume the steps are the same as the JP version.
The door can be found by going through the Dragon Area 4 (ドラゴンちほー4)
To find the key, you must play the following songs at least once after the release of the red door.
- Garden Of The Dragon
- DRAGONLADY
- Brand-new Japanesque
- Outlaw's Lullaby
Phase #7: Prism Tower
Japan: 11th July 2025
International: 14th November 2025
The Prism Tower can only be attempted once you have cleared all 6 doors and completing the 7sRef Area 4 (7sRefちほー4). The Perfect Challenge consists of the following songs:
Track 1: Random song from areas in Prism Area (プリズムエリア) except Yomibito Shirazu (ヨミビトシラズ)
Track 2: Random Perfect Challenge song from areas in Prism Area
Track 3: World's end BLACKBOX
Phase #???: ERROR
After clearing the Prism Tower, the tower will glitch out and become a black tower. All you need to do is reinsert a credit and redo the tower again.
The following chart pool follows:
1. 184億回のマルチトニック, Deicide, 雨露霜雪, Feel The Luv, 忙シー日, Amereistr
, 氷滅の135小節, 有明/Ariake, 宙天, Åntinomiε, FLΛME/FRΦST, World's end BLACKBOX
3. ????????????
The final chart in this phase will appear as a glitched chart. hiding the difficulty level, name, artist and map designer. upon playing the chart, a timer of 2:38 will start counting down and the following information will be hidden.
score on the playscreen and the upper screen
sync
Upon failing the chart. your final score and grade will not be shown, and the final screenshot will not appear post game.
If you made it till the countdown reaches 0 seconds, the game will stop registering inputs and spew out a bunch of notes before crashing the game and displaying a blue error screen. Don't worry this isn't a Windows Blue Screen of Death thing. It's all part of the ARG. Within the blue error screen, a code will be shown and the message will go away after 10 seconds.
At that point, you were supposed to text Derrakuma via the Line messaging service in which you would be greeted by Liz who will provide more information about the 7sRef and where to input the code. The original maimai Finale website was updated to have include a backdoor via the Milk Cafe which leads to a webpage to input the code to activate a livestream. As of now this step is no longer required since the stream already happened and the next phase has been unlocked.

Phase #8: Gates of Hope
International: TBA
After blue screening the cab, you will see an error code on screen. This code will be very important to unlock the next phase, as you will need to go to the maimai.net website. You might be wondering where do you enter this code? This step is gonna require you to modify the URL of the webpage by adding "recovery" at the end. Once you've done that, an input box will appear asking for the code. By entering the code, you'll be adding to the tally of unlocking the next phase. This is a community effort so spread the word around. Once the progress bar has been filled to completion, the next phase will be available to challenge. If you can't access the recovery page, then assume the progress bar has been filled.
you can re-enter the KaleiDXscope gamemode to attempt the Gate of Hope door. This door consists of 3 new charts;
- Prism Rhythm (Standard)
- Believe the Rainbow (DX)
- AFTER PANDORA (Standard, unused song from the FINALE album)
Final Phase: KaleiDXscope
We've come a long way on this journey through the 7 doors. And now is the time to save 7sref. This phase isnt available to attempt until you complete the Gate of Hope door (if you're playing on the JP version that is). Assuming this phase will be available in the international version. My speculation is that the final phase can be unlocked by setting your profile picture to the key of hope that you get by doing the hope door.
1. To unlock the final phase, you will need to go over to the card maker machine to print out a DX pass with the key of hope printed on the card.
2. Walk back to the machine and login to the game. Before you enter the KaleiDXscope gamemode you make sure your DX pass reader is set to on.
3. Enter the KaleiDXscope gamemode and insert your newly printed DX pass into the card reader slot. A new area should appear in the center allowing you to retry the dark Prism tower again.
After doing that, just sit back and witness the cutscene for the newest 15 the game has to offer. The chart is now 5:20 long, with the second half being a harder perfect challenge based off your deluxe score. So be sure to crit hit every notes.
If you managed to pass XaleidoscopiX, then congratulations on clearing the KaleiDXscope gamemode. After that, you get to play a bonus song, in which it'll become playable in normal mode. Please also note that playing XaleidoscopiX in normal mode being 5 minutes long will take up 2 of your 3 or 4 tracks. If you're on your last track, then the song won't be playable.
