FAQ for this guide

1 - Isn't this cheating the progression system?

The Butcher's Circus progression system is flawed. You're capable of farming prestige against the bot by playing out the matches or even with a friend by instantly surrendering as the match starts, meaning that this method is only gonna help you save time.

2 - Won't this ruin my progression of getting more unique and varied trinkets to change my playstyle with as I keep playing more and more?

Yes, in a way, but the current system does more harm than good. The Butcher's Circus has been out for 5.5 years, and you can face a Darkest opponent with all the trinkets in your very first match. Back in 2020, the system made sense as everyone was on an equal footing in terms of progressing through the ranks, prestige levels and their general knowledge of Butcher's Circus. But in a 2025 scenario, this can at least help level the playing field and give new players a chance before frustration makes you quit the game before you appreciate it for how good it is.

3 - What other progression is there if I reach the max prestige level?

Once you unlock all the trinkets is when the real game begins! The real progression in Butcher's Circus is in learning how to play team compositions to the best they can be played, in reference to all the matchups that you can face in ladder or in duels. You'll be completely free to test out your ideas to make the team that gives you the biggest chances of winning. And then practice until you're a formidable threat with your team of choice.

4 - Why make this guide so late into BC?

I was unaware of just how many people were being pushed away from Butcher's Circus right at the start, partly because their experience vs Darkest players felt hopeless. This is to be expected, but to not even have a chance to copy the opponent's team and try it out yourself to see if it really is that good... My experience getting into BC was wildly different from someone that starts in 2025, since everyone was just starting out and both learning stuff and unlocking the trinkets. Nowadays, you can go against another rookie or Sweatius Maximus playing Immortal Musketeer while you're still a novice rank. There is no justice in this world. However, I'm hoping this guide can help at least a few people out to have a better experience with BC, and stick around for the long run.
