Introduction
This is a detailed post for the second major update to the Darkest Dungeon: TF2 Engineer mod!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2847614903
The Mecha Update brings several new things to the Engineer! After 3 years since launch, hopefully, it will be worth the wait.
Merasmus has returned! And instead of bringing the Engineer back, he casts another portal dropping in both weapons and foes alike before returning from whence he came.
This will contains spoilers to the new missions, town events, enemies and trinkets!
How to back up save files
The save files/profiles may be stored under your user ID, for example
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\an_id\\262060\remote"
With an_id being a number representing something.
Just back up your save profiles and then when you want to load up a save to the cloud you can follow these steps. On PC:
- Make sure the profiles you want to save are in your Documents/Darkest folder
- Launch Darkest Dungeon
- Type transfersaves on the Campaign screen BEFORE the profile selection window
The game will launch the transfer process, wiping the cloud save games and transferring whatever profiles are in the Documents/Darkest folder to the cloud.
On MacOS:
To transfer your old save(s) to the cloud:
- Make sure the profiles you want to save are in your Application Support->Darkest folder
- Launch Darkest Dungeon
- Type transfersaves on the Campaign screen BEFORE the profile selection window
The game will launch the transfer process, wiping the cloud save games and transferring whatever profiles are in the Application Support->Darkest folder to the cloud.

Comments are heard and I'm happy to announce the engineer have undergone through a new skin!

Notes from Toby IO
Hiya! Toby IO here, this mod update is long overdue. It started with only bug fixes but more ideas happened and this is the final outcome. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback and bug reports, especially the bug reproduction, it really helped me out to find some of the bugs.
Fun fact! This update enemies were done before the announcement of TF2 searching for new MVM maps, hype for TF2 update.
I do have ideas for other TF2 classes and other characters too, though I have to find the time to do them and make them work within Darkest Dungeon restraint.
Since you are still reading this, thanks for reading! And yes, there is a Mimi skin, kudos to the one who was inb4 it was made, two years prior, it is an unlisted mod and it's link is somewhere in the Engineer mod workshop! Here's a tip, it's link is somewhere in one of the headers. ;)
